Abstract
This overview focuses on the study of non-enzymatic electrochemical glucose sensing over the last decade. The electrocatalytic performances and mechanisms of glucose oxidation using a variety of nanostructured materials are discussed, particularly for metallic nanomaterials. The history and limitations of enzymatic sensors are also introduced in this review.
