In 2014, Samuel received the prestigious St. Louis Award for creating and developing a set of high-tech cancer-visualizing goggles with the aim of helping surgeons see cancer cells in real-time while operating on patients.

He is the Hacettepe University Department of Chemistry Professor since 2000. Dr. Denizli has written over 500 articles and 5-invited review articles and 25 book chapters. He published 42 research articles in national journals and 100 popular science articles. He has 2 patents. He is one of the most cited scientists in chemistry and engineering field (17000 citations, over 1500 citations in handbooks, encyclopedias, books and thesis, h-index of 67).

His research interests are in the development of electrochemical sensors, biosensors and immunosensors working both in aqueous and organic solvents and in their application to environmental, biopharmaceutical and food analysis. He has also interest in thermal analytical studies (TG, DTA, DSC) for the purity control or the characterisation of several materials (drugs, foodstuffs, polymers, etc.) and in the study and characterisation of archaeological finds and cultural heritages, investigated by means of several instrumental techniques of chemical analysis. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Current Analytical Chemistry and Current Pharmaceutical Analysis. He is author of about 506 papers, 243 of which original research paper are in international Journals, and about 460 communications to congress.

Dr. Raliya’s research expertise is in the product and technology development with the aim of reducing fertilizer runoff while improving sustainable agriculture. 1. Develop a fertilizer and its delivery techniques that has nearly 100% use efficiency so zero runoff; 2. Climate-Smart Agriculture: Nanoscale composite formulation showing spatial and temporal release profile of nutrient, pesticides, and water. 3. Energy efficient recovery, recycle and reuse of nutrients and water from waste-water; 4. Integration of data science and artificial intelligence for precision and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Raliya developed methods for synthesizing novel inorganic and organic nanomaterials with independently controlled properties. These nanomaterials have been used to study their impact on plant nutrition, plant protection, biomedical uses including drug delivery, therapeutics, and imaging, water chemistry, energy storage materials, sensors, and environmental interactions. He has worked in different countries, such as India, and Ethiopia as an assistant professor, lecturer, and analytical chemist. He has expertise in the field of pharmaceutical analysis. He has published several research papers in the area of drug analysis. Besides, since Sept 2018, he is serving as department deputy of the GS department.

Dr. Regmi earned his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Louisiana State University in 2014, and then worked as a postdoc for a number of years. He has co-authored 15 peer- reviewed publications, 1 granted patent, and 1 patent application. He received outstanding dissertation award from LSU College of Science for his doctoral work on organic vapors sensing using quartz crystal microbalance coated with ionic liquids and GUMBOS. During his postdoctoral work, he immobilized room temperature ionic liquids inside the channels of microfabricated silicon-based gas chromatography columns for high-efficient separation of organic compounds. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Florida A&M University. He is serving as a reviewer in several international journals. His research interests include development of chemical sensors using low-melting organic salts.

He joined the department of materials science and Engineering at the Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2014 . Dr. Wang’s research activities encompass information materials, magneto-electric materials, magnetic materials, nano-mechanics, and nano-materials. He serves as a member of the editorial board for three journals and was invited keynote speakers of major conferences. He has published over 40 articles in various international journals including New Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, EPL-Europhysics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, etc.
