He was also appointed as a Clinical Research Fellow (October 2015-June 2017) at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre, University of Manchester, UK and as an Honorary Clinical Fellow at the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (February 2016 - May 2017). He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles in these fields, holds 12 patents, licensed two technologies, and was recipient of the National Scientist award of the Fonds de la Recherche en Santé du Québec (2004-2009).

Dr. Goldenberg obtained his M.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Heidelberg School of Medicine in Germany in 1966, and his Sc.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg Faculty of Natural Sciences, Germany in 1965.

He has written or co-authored approximately 1,800 journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts on cancer research, detection and treatment, particularly in radioimmunodetection and radioimmunotherapy.

He was the author of their Technical Bulletin “Ultrasound in Gynecology” and their practice guidelines on SERMs (Selective Estrogen Receptor Moderators). He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 2016 he received the Clarkson Award from NAMS for lifetime achievement in menopause research.

Currently, there are over 100 million medical CT scans yearly with a majority in the spiral cone-beam mode. He pioneered bioluminescence tomography. His group published the first papers on interior tomography and omni-tomography (“all-in-one”) to acquire diverse datasets simultaneously (“all-at-once”). His results were featured in Nature, Science, and PNAS, and recognized with awards. He wrote >430 peer-reviewed journal publications. He is Dellow of the IEEE, SPIE, OSA, AIMBE, AAPM, and AAAS.
