Publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on the topics related to Environmental Engineering. Articles may be focused largely, but not exclusively, on contributions from India.
Dr. P. Senthil Kumar works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai, India. He has 14 years of teaching and research experience and 1 year of industrial experience. His h-index is 41 along with more than 6273 Google citations. Under his guidance, 10 Ph.D. Scholars have completed and 08 Ph.D. scholars are currently doing their active research in the area of Waste Water Treatment, Environmental Nanobiotechnology and Alternative Fuels. He has published more than 225 research papers in highly reputed International Journals and 100 research papers in National and International Conferences. He also published more than 100 book chapters with Elsevier, Springer, CRC Press etc. publishers.
Dr. Prakash C. Sahoo is currently working as a Research Manager at Indian Oil R&D Center, Faridabad. He has more than 10 years of research experience in Biochemistry and Petroleum Biotechnology. Dr. Sahoo co-authored over 23 peer-reviewed scientific articles in the leading journals, 2 book chapters and more than 20 conference proceedings. He is co-inventor of 8 US, 2 Indian and 3 Korean patents. Dr. Sahoo is the winner of 2nd overseas exchange program to France at UST (2013) and received several best presentation awards. Dr. Sahoo completed his PhD from UST-KIGAM (2013), South Korea and was the recipient of BK21 Plus postdoctoral fellowship for his postdoctoral research in KAIST, South Korea (2014).
Dr. Nabajyoti Saikia is an Associate Professor in Chemistry, The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam. He did his Ph. D work from the CSIR NEIST (formerly Regional Research Laboratory) Jorhat, Assam and received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Dibrugarh University, India. He has extensive postdoctoral research experience in solid waste management and has published numerous scientific publications in this field. He is the co-author with Prof. Jorge De Brito, at the IST, University of Lisbon, of a major reference book, Recycled Aggregate in Concrete: Use of Industrial, Construction and Demolition Waste. He also serves as a reviewer of more than thirty SCI/SCOPUS journals.
Pradeep Verma is a professor in the Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences, CURAJ, Ajmer, India. He worked as associate professor and reader-founder head at GGV, Bilaspur, and Assam University, Silchar. He received his Ph.D. from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, and master's and bachelor's from MDS University, Rajasthan. He worked as visiting scientist at UFZ Centre for Environmental Research, Halle, Germany, and postdoctoral fellow at ASCR Prague, Gottingen University Germany, and RISH Kyoto University Japan. He also worked at Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai, India. His stay at Japan and Reliance Life Sciences resulted in several commercialized national and international patents. He is a recipient of various prestigious awards and fellowships, such as the Ron- Cockcroft award by Swedish society, UNESCO Fellow, DFG fellow, and JSPS PDF. He is a fellow of Mycological Society of India and Biotech Research Society of India. His area of expertise involves microbial diversity, bioremediation, bioprocess development, lignocellulosic, and algal biomass based bio refinery. He has contributed to 73+ research papers, 32 book chapters, and 11 edited books. He is editorial board member and reviewer of several prestigious high impact journals.
Dr. Narendra Kumar is an Associate Professor in Department of Environmental Science, and presently, he is also working as Head in the Department of Geology, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh, India. He has guided 5 Ph. D. and 45 M.Sc. research projects for their respective degrees. He has two ongoing and one completed research project. Further, he has over 42 refereed international publications and 23 book chapters, 5 books and several other articles with around 925 citations. His h-index is 15 and i10-index is 19. His area of research includes phytoremediation, water pollution and aquatic toxicology etc.
Dr. Sandeep Kumar is presently working as a scientist at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. The author has an experience of more than six years as a scientist and has published more than 30 research articles and book chapters in well-reputed and renewed national and international journals. He has expertise in heavy metals toxicity assessment of contaminated vegetables, greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions from different vegetables cultivation practices, and water and air pollution.
Dr. Jyoti Mittal is an alumnus of I.I.T., Roorkee (India) and presently working as faculty in the Department of Chemistry, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (India). In the year 2018, she has been designated as Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers and appeared amongst 4000 most influential scientists of the world. Her research interests include removal of hazardous organic and inorganic substances from wastewater. Her present h-index is 35 and her research papers have been cited more than 9000 times. She is an editorial board member and a reviewer of a number of international journals of the environmental field.
Dr. Prijitha R. G. is working at CORAL, IIT Kharagpur availing Women Scientist – A fellowship by Department of Science and Technology. She holds a master's degree in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology and Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics from Université Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris VI/LATMOS/CNRS, France. She has participated in various international programmes and contributed to Chapter 2 of WMO 2010 report on Scientific Assessment of Ozone Depletion. She is an editorial board member in International Journals. She has done research on cosmology, ozone and Indian rainfall. Her works include identification of ozone recovery and studies on the drivers of Indian rainfall using statistical models.
Dr Priyanka Sharma is presently working as Assistant Professor in Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ganeshkhind, Pune. She completed her BSc (Hons), MSc (Hons) and PhD in Botany from Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar. She has 12 years of research and teaching experience at postgraduate and graduate level. She was awarded UGC-Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-doctoral fellowship and highly prestigious DBT BioCare Women Scientist fellowship by the Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT) Govt. of India, New Delhi. She has been elected the fellow of Young Academy of India (YAI)-India’s first young academy in 2021. She has published various research articles and book chapters in reputed international journals by Elsevier and Springer Nature with high impact factor. She has also reviewed articles for several journals of international repute e.g. Journal of Hazardous Materials (Elsevier), Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety (Elsevier) and Acta Physiologiae Plantarum (Springer) etc.
Dr. Saroja Kumar Barik completed his master degree from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India in Environmental Chemistry. He has done his PhD in Environmental Geochemistry from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has professional experience with over 17 years of rich research, management and industrial experiences on Environment issues. He is directly and indirectly Associated with national and international organization: World Bank, UNICEF, JICA, ICMAM-MOES, ICAR- CIFRI, CSIR- IMMT, SPCB-Dept. of Forest and Environment-Govt. of Odisha, Dept. of Drinking water and sanitation-Govt. of Jharkhand, DHI, Merck India limited and BARC-DAE. He has expertise in the area of water and sediment quality monitoring of lake, estuaries, port and rural drinking water supply scheme to the community with 22 number of strong research publications in peer review SCOPUS index journals. He is a reviewer of national and international journals and associated with Springer, Elsevier and Tylor and Francis. He presented his research papers at national and international (Japan) level.
Dr. Sovik Das completed doctoral research work in the field of environmental engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He got engaged in research work pertaining to bioelectrochemical systems like microbial electrosynthesis cell, microbial fuel cell and microbial electrolysis cell for the treatment of different waste streams with concomitant valuable recovery
Mr. Nadeem A Khan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering since 01 Aug 2012. He also acted as Academic Coordinate of the Civil Engineering department from 2014 to 2017. He is currently serving as an Editorial board member of Nature journal- Scientific Reports (IF= 4.3), Springer journal special issue of Discover water and working for Hindawi Journal special issue (IF= 4.2). His recent accomplishments included 15 Coursera course completion certificates and were awarded as Best Young Scientist Award(Male) by LWT India and GECL for Scientific contribution in the field of Environmental Engineering. He got his M. TECH. (Civil Engineering) in 2011 with Honors in Environmental Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. Mr. Khan was associated with the Ministry of Environment and Forest for two years as Junior Research Fellow (J.R.F) in 2009-11 and also worked with UNICEF as a Research Assistant (R.A) on the topic of GIS mapping and Water quality parameter estimation including monitoring of Agra Region for six months in 2012. He has professional experience in DLF-LAING'S ROURKE INDIA LTD in an SEZ Project at Gurgaon as Construction Engineer during 2008-09. He qualified for the GATE examinations in 2010. His area of activity in the industry was post contract works, reconciliation, planning, and budgeting. He has attended a number of conferences, workshops, seminars, research and engaged in research projects. He has published 50 papers in SCI. He has also published more than 10 PATENTS in the field of Civil Engineering and water treatment. He is Joint-Secretary of an Environmental Awareness Society ENVIRONSENSE which has organized more than 25 events
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Tyagi's research area is in green nanomaterial synthesis, their conjugations and he evaluated their toxicity as in vivo by using Drosophila species. He is working as professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh India. He has published more than 65 research papers in refereed international and national journals and more than 15 research papers in various national and international conferences. He has nineteen years of teaching/research experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. During this period, he has supervised 4 Ph.D., 16 Master and more than 65 bachelor students, in Environmental Engineering, Nanobiotechnology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and published his research work frequently in reputed journals and proceedings in both India and abroad. He also fetched two grants for research and three grants for organized workshops and conferences from funding agencies of DBT, UP-CST and LSFI in the field of nanobiotechnology and Drosophila biology.
