Publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues in all areas of ocean engineering. Articles may be focused largely, but not exclusively, on contributions from China.
The Ocean Engineering section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues in all areas of ocean engineering. Articles may be focused largely, but not exclusively, on contributions from China.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following ocean engineering areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:• Biological oceanography

Prof. Decheng Wan received his Ph.D from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China in 1994. After successively working as a research fellow of the Royal Society at University College London, UK, a senior research fellow at National University of Singapore, and a Wissenschaftliche Angestellter at Dortmund University, Germany from 1997 to 2005, he returned to Shanghai and was appointed as a full professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006. Currently, Prof. Wan is Director of Computational Marine Hydrodynamics Lab (CMHL) at SJTU. His research interest is mainly on computational marine and coastal hydrodynamics, numerical marine basin, nonlinear wave theory, wave loads on structures, numerical analysis of riser vortex-induced vibration (VIV) and platform vortex-induced motion (VIM), etc. In these areas, he has published over 500 papers and carried out more than 50 projects on marine hydrodynamics and computational hydrodynamics. His remarkable work of development of numerical solvers in ship and ocean engineering have been recognized by the world-wide researchers in the field of marine hydrodynamics. He is awarded the most cited researchers in 2018 by Elsevier.Prof. Wan has developed more than 20 in-house CFD solvers on marine hydrodynamics, risers VIV, floating offshore wind turbine.
Dr. Xiang Yuan Zheng has been a Professor at Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, China since 2014. Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Center, Singapore from 2007-2012 and at Deepwater Research Center, Dalian University of Technology as a Professor until 2014. Dr. Zheng completed his Bachelors in Offshore Engineering and Naval Architecture of Engineering, Tianjin University, China in 1996, Master in Earthquake Engineering, Institute of Engineering Mechanics, China Seismological Bureau in 1999 and PhD in Offshore Structure Dynamics, National University of Singapore in 2003. Dr. Zheng's research interests include offshore Engineering: Ocean Renewable Energy, Offshore Structures, earthquake Engineering: Seismic Ground Motions, Seismic Design of Marine Structures, nonlinear Random Processes, Higher-order Spectrum.
