Bimal Krishna Banik is a Professor of the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd University in Saudi Arabia. He was the President’s Endowed Professor of the University of Texas and Vice President of Research of the Community Health System of Texas. Professor Banik was awarded $7.25 million grants from NIH and NCI. Importantly, he has 560 publications and 15 books. Professor Banik has mentored approximately 300 students, 20 postdoctoral fellows, 7 research scientists and 25 university faculties. He was the advisor of students’ organizations. Dr. Banik chaired 20 symposiums at the ACS Meetings and over 2 dozen conferences including 1 at the Nobel Prize celebration. Professor Banik has received more than two dozen prestigious awards.
Prof. Chittaranjan Sinha by birth is an Indian, and is now serving as Professor of Chemistry at Jadavpur University (2nd in All India University Rank and 10th in All Indian Universities, Research Institutes, IITs, IISERs, etc.). Previously, he served at Vidyasagar University and at Burdwan University. Prof. Sinha was awarded Best Chemistry Teacher by Association of Chemistry Teachers, and he has visited countries in Europe, as well as Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan, in different capacities. So far, he has published more than 320 highly cited original research papers in Chemical Sciences, secured Scopus h-index of 36 and citations of 4,475. In addition, he has enjoyed 21 government-funded research projects.
Prof. Lakshmi Kantam is Dr.B.P. Godrej Distinguished Professor of Green Chemistry and Sustainability Engineering at Department of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai-400019, India. She has 32 years of experience in the research, design and development of catalysts for innovative green and economical processes for chemical industry. Earlier, she served as Director at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad. She has authored more than 320 publications, 42 patents and five book chapters. She is an Adjunct Professor at Tezpur Central University , Tezpur, Assam and RMIT University, Melbourne , Australia.
Prof. Gabriele received the PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Calabria (Italy). After a research position at the University of Parma (Italy) with Professor Gian Paolo Chiusoli, he joined Prof. Ronald Breslow’s group at Columbia University (New York, USA) as a post-doc fellow for one year. He them came back to the University of Calabria, where he was promoted to Full Professor in 2006. He is author of more than 140 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and 15 patents. His research interests include the development of novel catalytic methods for the production of high value added molecules under sustainable conditions and the development of novel synthetic processes for carbon oxide reutilization
Dr John C.-G. Zhao received PhD in Organic Chemistry, University of Würzburg, Germany, 1999, MS. in Organic Chemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, 1995, and BS in Applied Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Tongji University, China, 1992. He has been working as a Professor at theDepartment of Chemistry, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) since 2011. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in well-reputed international journals. Moreover, he is a member of the professional societies like The American Chemical Society and New York Academy of Sciences. He has carried out research in the fields of organ catalysis/green chemistry, organic synthesis, bioorganic/medicinal chemistry, and nanomaterial chemistry (MOF, HOF, synthetic bone-like materials) at three Universities and one Academy of Sciences.
Ahmet Bilgin was born in 1971 in Yalvaç, Isparta (Turkey). He is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at Kocaeli University, Kocaeli, Turkey. He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University in 1997 with a Master Degree in Inorganic Chemistry. He holds his Ph.D. on Phthalocyanines containing Macrobicyclic Units at Karadeniz Technical University in 2002. After Ph.D., he joined to the Kocaeli University as an Assistant Prof. Dr. on 5 November 2003. He founded the primary research laboratory in 2004 and has been conducting his scientific studies as a group leader. His research interests include cryptands, crown ethers, vic-dioximes and their transition metal complexes, metal extraction, supramolecular chemistry, organometallic chemistry, phthalocyanines, porphyrazines, catalysists as well as polymer synthesis (ROP and ATRP etc.) and characterizations, biodegrable polymers.
Professor Ali Maleki started his career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 2010, where he is currently a Full Professor. His research interests focus on design and development of novel multicomponent reactions, organic synthesis, natural and synthetic polymers, heterocycles, pharmaceutical compounds, nanochemistry, magnetic, composite, hybrid, core/shell nanomaterials, catalysts and catalytic reactions, medicinal and green chemistry. Prof. Dr. Maleki has hundreds of ISI-JCR publications, book chapters and executed industrial and applied projects. He has been selected as a distinguished researcher of IUST during 2010-2022. He has been awarded IUPAC-CHEMRAWN VII prize for green chemistry in 2016. He has achieved Iranian Chemical Society Outstanding Chemist Award in 2022. Dr. Maleki has been ranked as top 1% International Scientists in ESI (Web of Science) in 2018-2021. He had more than 30 highly cited papers in 2010-2021. His H-index is currently 60 including more than 12000 citations.
Dr.Muhammad Waqar Ashraf is Professor & Dean of College of Sciences & Human Studies at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. His research interests include Analytical Organo- metallic Chemistry, Environmental Sustainability & Assessment. He is author of over 80 research publications and a book. Dr. Ashraf has successfully carried out funded research projects related to these areas in relation to sustainable environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has presented his research work at various renowned international conferences held in Europe, Canada and USA. He acts as a reviewer for government funding agencies and reputed scientific journals. Dr. Bubun Banerjee received his Ph.D. degree from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. He has nearly nine years of experience in the field of research related to green and sustainable developments. Since March 2016, he is working as an assistant professor of chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Indus International University, Bathu, Una, Himachal Pradesh, India. Dr. Banerjee published more than 50 research articles in the internationally renowned journals and authored two book chapters also.
Sukanta Bar studied chemistry from the University of Calcutta during 2000–2005. He received his Ph.D. degree from the IIT Kharagpur, India in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Saumen Hajra. Then he moved to Technion Israel Institute of Technology and joined the research group of Profs. Alex Szpilman as a Schulich post-doctoral research fellow. He completed another postdoctoral research from the University of Michigan under mentorship of Prof. Corinna Schindler (2014-2016). He returned to India as a Senior Research Investigator at Syngene Int. Ltd (2016-2019). Recently, Dr. Bar accepted a Scientist position at the structural biology department of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (2020-till now). He is leading the chemistry initiative of Prof. Scott Blanchard’s group.
Dr. Brahmachari presently holds the position of full professor of chemistry at Visva-Bharati (a Central University), India. He received Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry) in 1997 from the same University and joined his alma mater as assistant professor in 1998. He has about 18 years of experience in both teaching and research at the University level. He has supervised several PhD students so far, and produced nearly 160 scientific publications including original research papers, review articles, books and invited book chapters in the fields of natural products and green chemistry. He has authored/edited 17 books and more than 30 book chapters so far published by internationally reputed major presses. Dr. Campos-Martín is Scientific Researcher of CSIC and founding shareholder of Soluciones Cataliticas IBERCAT S. L. He is specialized in the development of novel homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic processes, with a strong emphasis on the efficient usage of raw materials and energy as well as on the minimal generation of unwanted by-products. Dr. Wei-Lin Dai is a faculty member and professor of chemistry in Fudan University (P.R. China) where he teaches experimental physical chemistry and some courses for graduate students. Dr. Alakananda Hajra obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2003 from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata (Jadavpur University), India. Dr. Hajra is working as an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Chemistry, at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India. His research activity mainly involves the development of methodologies in heterocyclic chemistry and green chemistry. Dr. Wei Han received his PhD in organic chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet Muenchen of Germany in 2011. Currently, Dr. Han is a professor of organic chemistry at Nanjing Normal University. Dr Changwei Hu received his PhD and Master of Science from Sichuan University in 1996 and 1991 respectively. Currently, he is a Staff member of Sichuan University. His research areas include Catalytic functionalization of C–H bond based on the viewpoint of atom economy, Catalytic conversion of bio-based materials (bio-oil, sugars, raw algae, and lignocellulosic biomass, etc.) to fuel and useful chemicals, Catalytic activation of small molecules (CO, CO 2, CH 4 and low alkanes, etc.), Molecular modelling on catalytic systems, preparation of catalytic materials including nano-scale material. He has published more than 200 papers, 24 patents authorized, and is awarded 11 times by MOE and Sichuan Province.
Sofian Kanan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Yarmouk University and earned his Ph.D. in Inorganic & Material Chemistry from the University of Maine. He worked at the Laboratory for Surface Science & Technology, University of Maine. He was a Senior Scientist at Sensor Research and Development Corporation. Currently, he is a professor of Chemistry at the American University of Sharjah. His research interests fall under the general umbrella of developing material properties using surface chemistry. The primary goal is to obtain an understanding of the relationship between the molecular surface chemistry and macroscopic properties of materials. He has published 100+ peer reviewed articles and conference presentations.
György Keglevich graduated from the Technical University of Budapest in 1981 as a chemical engineer. He became a professor in 1996. He has been the Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Budapest University of Technology and Economics since 1999. He deals with organophosphorus, P-heterocyclic and environmentally friendly chemistry including MW-assisted and catalytic reactions, the development and simplification of catalysts. Hu Li is Professor of Center for R&D of Fine Chemicals, Guizhou University (GZU), China. Dr. Li stayed as a visiting student researcher at Technical University of Denmark and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences prior to obtaining his Ph.D. from GZU. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Nanjing Agricultural University and Tohoku University. His research focuses on the catalytic conversion of renewable resources into chemicals and biofuels with functional catalytic materials. Dr. Li has published more than 10 patents and over 80 peer-reviewed papers on sustainable catalysis and green chemistry. Pengfei Li received his PhD in organic chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Xinmiao Liang at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Science in 2009. Then he moved to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2009-2011) and Hong Kong Baptist University (2011) as postdoctoral fellow in Albert Chan's research group. In 2012, he joined the department of chemistry, Southern University of Science and Technology (China) as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. In 2019, he was appointed tenured associate professor. His research interests cover the chemistry of asymmetric organocatalytic transformation and developing multiprobes for proteomics.
Professor Sivakumar Manickam (Siva) is a Chemical Engineer specializing Process Engineering of Nanomaterials especially Nanopharmaceuticals. Presently he is working with University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus and his research group concentrates on the process development of cavitation based reactors towards technologically important nanomaterials. The group also looking into the development of pharmaceutical nanoemulsions as well as utilizing novel carbon nanomaterials to design biosensor for the earlier detection of cancer and diabetes. He is also the Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange, Faculty of Engineering and is the Director of the Centre for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials. He was also the recipient of JSPS fellowship, Japan. He has published ~200 peer reviewed journal and conference papers. He is the Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK), Fellow of RSC and member of Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN).
Dr. Debabrata Maiti has obtained M.Sc. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and he further got Ph.D. in Chemistry from johns Hopkins, USA. He is presently serving as an Associate Professor at IIT Bombay, Department of Chemistry. He is also an Associate Editor of The Journal of Organic Chemistry and Editorial Advisory Board of Organometallics. Professor Martins got her Chemical Engineering degree (1990), Ph.D. (1996) and Habilitation (2015) from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She is Researcher (Core Member) at Centro de Química Estrutural (Coordination Chemistry and Catalysis Group) of Instituto Superior Técnico, since 1992 and member of the Research Core Team and of the Executive Committee of the PhD programme - Catalysis and Sustainability. She was appointed (1996) as Adjunct Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. She is also the Vice-President of the said Department. Prof. Martins has authored more than 100 manuscripts, 13 patents, and 2 book chapters, and supervised several PhD (12) and Master (14) students. She is also President of the Portuguese Electrochemical Society.
I received my PhD degree in organic chemistry from National University of Singapore in 2018, and I was then a postdoc research assistant in the same university. I joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019. My PhD research mainly focused on asymmetric organocatalysis, more specifically, to develop novel reactions catalyzed by chiral phosphine catalysts. I have published 8 papers on high-ranking journals, and authored a comprehensive review on the whole field of asymmetric phosphine catalysis, which was then published in Chemical Reviews.
Musa Özil, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University in Turkey. His research interests are design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new heterocyclic compounds such as triazole, oxadiazole, thiadiazole, benzimidazole, coumarine… etc. He is the member of the Editorial Board of Current Organocatalysis, Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds and Current Microwave Chemistry. He has published over 60 research articles, meeting abstracts, and book chapters.
Teresa M. V. D. Pinho e Melo studied Chemistry at the University of Coimbra, where she obtained the PhD in Organic Chemistry in 1995. She was Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool (1992-1993). She received her Habilitation in Organic Chemistry in 2003. She is currently Director of the Department of Chemistry, Associate Professor with Habilitation and Head of the Organic Chemistry Research Group at the University of Coimbra. She is also President of the Division of Organic Chemistry of the Portuguese Chemical Society. She has published more than 115 peer-reviewed scientific papers in international journals. Her research interests are in the area of synthetic and mechanistic heterocyclic organic chemistry. She is particularly concerned with the development of synthetic routes to new bioactive molecules.

Satyajit Saha obtained his Ph.D. in organic chemistry in the year 2011 from IIT Kanpur, India. Thereafter as a FWO Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow he moved to Belgium and conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of Antwerpen, Belgium. Subsequently, after completing his second postdoctoral stint at the Universität Leipzig, Germany, he joined Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India in 2015 as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Dyestuff Technology under UGC-Faculty Recharge Programme. His research interests are focused on organic synthesis, catalysis, functional materials, stereoselective transformations, and green chemistry.
He is an Associate Professor of Inorganic and Nano Chemistry at the Dumlupinar University, Turkey. His PhD was conducted at Middle East Technical University (METU). In 2011, he spent almost two years at Massachusetts Institute and Technology (MIT) – USA as a Post-doc in the research group of Prof. M. S. Strano involving with different nanomaterials and their applications such as biosensors, biofuel cells, thermopower energy generation, carbon nanotubes, graphene etc. He has published over 80 international publications in scientific journals published within the scope of SCI, almost 2000 citations to these publications. He has got many popular research incentive awards.
G. B. Shul’pin works at N. N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow). He is currently a Leading Scientific Researcher. Shul’pin is a Foreign Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon (Portugal). His research activities concern metal complex catalysis, oxidation of hydrocarbons, activation of C–H bond in saturated and aromatic hydrocarbons, organometallic chemistry. Other interests include photocatalysis, biomimetic oxidations and ecological chemistry. Felipe De Moura Souza did PhD in Science and Technology in Chemistry from the Federal University of ABC (2021) and a Degree in Chemistry from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology São Paulo, campus São Paulo (2015). He did post-doctorate from the University of São Paulo, São Carlos campus at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC) in 2021. Currently, he is a tenured professor at the Instituto Federal Goiano (IFGoiano), where he teaches at medium, higher and post-graduate levels, and develops research in the areas of electrochemistry and electroanalysis. He has experience in the field of electrochemistry.

Georgios C. Vougioukalakis was born on Crete, Greece, in 1976 and received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Crete in 1999. In 2004, he completed his Ph.D. at the same university. During his graduate studies he spent short periods of time at the University of Sussex and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Bologna. In 2005 he moved as a Marie Curie Fellow to the California Institute of Technology where he worked for two years. Following another year of postdoctoral studies at the University of Athens, he joined the National Centre of Scientific Research "Demokritos". In 2012, he visited the University of California - Irvine, as a Visiting Scholar. In 2014, he moved to the Department of Chemistry of the University of Athens to take up a Lecturer position in Organic Chemistry. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry in 2016.
Dr. Linsheng Wang is the pioneer for exploring the Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts for production of benzene and hydrogen directly from methane and the Re / HZSM-5 catalysts for production of benzene and hydrogen from methane with carbon dioxide. He found and developed a new type of Pd-Ag-Ru / α-Al2O3 ternary alloy composite membrane for ultra-pure hydrogen production with durability at higher temperatures. He has successfully fabricated Pt, Ir and Ni-based sub-nano-sized monometallic and bimetallic clusters in the pores as novel efficient catalysts for synthesis of phenol by selective oxidation with molecular oxygen.
Dr. Chien-Hsin Yang is presently serving as a Professor at the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering in National University of Kaohsiung. He obtained BS in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University of Technology and Science. He further obtained MS and PhD in the same field from National Cheng-Kung University in 1987 and 1994 receptively. He is interested in conducting polymers, polymer electrolytes, organic/inorganic nano-material hybrids in the application of optoelectronic devices, For example: solar cell, PLED, electrochromic devices, etc. He has contributed his valuable publications in different journals, having citations around 1,392.
Prof. Dr. Jin-Sheng Yu received his PhD degree from East China Normal University (ECNU) in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Jian Zhou. After two years as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Masakatsu Shibasaki at Institute of Microbial Chemistry, he joined ECNU as Zijiang Young Scholars. His research interests are focused on the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of value-added chiral fluorine-containing compounds, and their application in medicinal research.
Guipeng Yu studied polymer chemistry at Xiangtan University during 2000-2004 and received his PhD from the State Key of Fine Chemicals at Dalian University of Technology in 2009, and then joined the Central South University in 2010. In 2016, he became a member of the catalysis and polymer group of Prof. Dr Markus Antonietti at the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces. In 2017, he returned to the Central South University and there he leads a research group in the Department of organic chemistry. His research is focused on porous materials and their potential in (photo)catalysis and energy applications.
Dr. Furen Zhang is a professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Alternative Technologies for Fine Chemicals Process, Shaoxing University,China. Dr. Zhang's expertise lies in the field of organic chemistry and his research interests include: 1) Design and development of novel MCR (Multi-component reaction) strategies for the synthesis of privileged medicinal scaffolds. 2) Development of catalysts based synthetic methodologies involving C-H activation bond forming reactions. 3) Synthesis and application of early transition metal complexes catalysts in organic transformations. 4) Development and synthesis of chiral reagents, catalysts in asymmetric synthesis to synthesize novel bioactive and other compounds.
Tao Zhang PhD. is currently an Associated Professor in the area of Environmental Technology at College of Resources and Environmental Sciences of China Agricultural University in China. He completed his PhD studies in Environmental Engineering awarded by Nanjing University, China. Over the years, he has led the team to focus on theoretical research and technological innovation in the field of agricultural waste utilization and nutrient cycling, and formed research directions represented by efficient nutrient nitrogen and phosphorus recovery, thermal conversion of waste biomass, and aerobic biological conversion of waste. His research results have been published as journals, chapters and patents.
Dr. Zhang received his PhD degree in organic chemistry at Nankai University, China.Presently,he is a professor at Hebei Normal Universityand head of a research group for green chemistry. His current research interests are dedicated towards the development of new green solvents, new reagents and catalysts in organic synthesis.He has publishedaround 100 scientific papers with h-index of 44 and total citations about 4400 times.
Dr. Prof. Grigory V. Zyryanov (born 1973) graduated from the Ural Polytechnical Institute in 1995. In 2000, he earned PhD in Organic Chemistry. In 2001–2003, he was doing his post-doctoral studies on calixarenes and supramolecular chemistry of gases with Prof. Dmitry M. Rudkevich (UT Arlington, TX). In 2004, he joined the research group of Prof. Pavel Anzenbacher Jr. (BGSU, OH) where he was working on themolecular recognition and photochemistry.In 2010, he joined the faculty of the Department of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry (Ural Federal University, Russia). In 2012, he earned a Doctor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
Dr. Al-Hashimi received his MSci Honours degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2003 and PhD in 2007 from Queen Mary University of London, UK. In 2007-2008, Dr. Al-Hashimi subsequently worked as a Senior Development Chemist at Evotec OAI, Oxfordshire, UK. In 2008 he joined Imperial College London, UK as a PDRA in the chemistry department. In 2012 he joined Qatar University as an Assistant professor and currently he is a Research Associate Professor at Texas A&M University at Qatar. Al-Hashimi has received several research awards; Donald C. Bradley prize, UK (2003); ASPICC prize, UK (2004); Lefevre prize, UK (2005); Research Fellow Excellence Award at TAMUQ (2015); Research award in the energy and environment Pillar (2016), and ACMME (2016). His research focus on the design and synthesis of organic semiconductor materials for a range of optoelectronic applications. His other interests center on the development of well-defined novel polymeric materials for catalysis.
Saithalavi Anas obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2008 from NIIST (CSIR), Thiruvananthapuram (India) and subsequently completed postdoctoral research studies at University of Paris-sud 11 (France) and Uppsala University (Sweden). He is presently working as Assistant Professor at School Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, India. He is also serving as the Honorary Director of Advanced Molecular Materials Research Centre (AMMRC) and Institute for Integrated Programmes and Research in Basic Sciences (IIRBS) at Mahatma Gandhi University. His research interests include synthetic organic chemistry involving transition metal/polymer supported catalysis and polymer nanocomposites.
Dr. Chin Fei Chee obtained his Ph.D. in organic synthesis from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Chee is currently a Senior Lecturer at the same university. He was a senior scientist at Aurigene Discovery Technology, Malaysia, prior to joining this university. He has been actively involved in various research activities especially in the area of organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry. Dr. Chee has published over 40 scientific papers and book chapters, and he is a recipient of many research grants and awards.
Wen Chen is an Associate Professor of chemistry at Yunnan University. He obtained Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Yunnan University in 2014. He has authored more than 20 scientific papers and held 2 patents. He is interested in the total synthesis of bioactive natural products and goal-oriented synthetic methodology. He is also involved to design and synthesize bioactive natural-product-like compounds.
Dr. EL-Seesy works as an Assistant Professor at Benha University, Egypt. Currently, he works as a postdoctoral fellowship at Institute for Energy Research, Jiangsu University, China from September 2019 to the present. He received his BSc with honors from Benha University, Egypt in June 2008, and he also got his MSc in February 2015. He got his PhD from Energy Resources Engineering from Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) in January 2019. He is interested in Combustion, IC Engines, Renewable Energy, Nanoparticle Applications, Biofuel, Biomass and Emulsion fuels as well as simulation work. He has published more than 33 papers.
Dr. Ghasem Hassani received his doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering from the Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Iran (2016). Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Social Determinants of Health Research Center, Yasuj University of Medical Sciences (Iran). His current research mainly focuses on Water and Wastewater pollution and Treatment, and air pollution and control. He has published more than 30 scientific papers.
Samaresh Jana earned Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences (Jadavpur University, Kolkata), India in 2007. He did postdoctoral work with Prof. Iain Coldham (University of Sheffield, UK) and Prof. Nan Zheng (University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA) in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry. He served as a Scientist in medicinal chemistry division of GVK Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., India during 2010-2012. Presently, he is associated with the Department of Chemistry, SAS, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) as an Associate Professor. He is interested in the synthesis of bioactive natural products and related compounds. He is also involved to develop novel synthetic methodology useful in organic chemistry.
Marta Meazza was born in 1987 in Saronno (Italy). She graduated from the University of Milan in 2012 with a Master Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Egle Beccalli. She obtained her PhD degree under the supervision of Dr Ramon Rios at the University of Southampton (UK) in 2016. After a postdoctoral position in the group of Prof Karl Anker Jørgensen at Aarhus University (DK), in 2017 she moved to the University of Southampton as a Research Fellow. Her research interests include synergistic, organocatalysis, organometallic chemistry, organocatalytic photoactivation of organic compounds, heterogeneous catalysis.
Sara Meninno is a PostDoctoral fellow at University of Salerno (Italy). She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2015 from University of Salerno under the supervision of Prof. A. Lattanzi. She was awarded by Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei a Royal Society of Chemistry fellowship for Italian researchers to spend a research period in United Kingdom. She joined the group of Dr. Ramon Rios at Southampton University (UK). Dr. Meninno has co-authored more than 20 papers. His main research interests are in organocatalysis, in developlment of new asymmetric tandem and one-pot methodologies for the construction of chiral compounds.
Dr. Merey is an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering Department of Hitit University, TURKEY. She received her MSc degree in 2004 and PhD degree in 2010 from Chemistry Division of Istanbul Technical University, TURKEY. Dr. Merey worked as a research scholar at the Chemistry Department of Emory University, USA for one year in 2006 and performed postdoctoral research studies at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in University of Maryland, USA between 2011 and 2012. Dr. Pengpeng Qiu is an Assistant Professor at the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials, College of Materials Science and Engineering at Donghua University. He received his Ph.D. from Korea University, South Korea, in 2017. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Fudan University under Professor Dongyuan Zhao. His research interests focus on the design and synthesis of mesoporous materials for energy and environmental application. Dr. Qiu has published more than 20 articles, including some high-impact journals such as Account of Chemical Research, Nano Letters, and Advanced Functional Materials.
Varun Rawat received his M.Sc. Chemistry degree from University of Delhi and Ph.D. from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (with Dr. A. Sudalai). He then joined the group of Prof. Arkadi Vigalok as PBC postdoctoral fellow, where he worked on calixarene based complexes. He is presently a Assistant Professor of Chemistry in Amity School of Applied Sciences, Amity University Haryana, India. His research interest includes synthesis and application of calixarene based chemosensors and catalysts.
Dr. Huan Li received his Ph.D. in 2007 from the School of Environment, Tsinghua University. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University, China. He is also a Visiting scholar at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He has published more than 30 journal papers in well-reputed journals and has discovered 8 patents.
Dr. Devalina Ray is an Assistant professor in Amity University, Noida, UP, India since 2017. She received her Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur, India in 2008. Thereafter, she pursued her postdoctoral research from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas followed by University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Nebraska, USA. She joined Myongji University, Yongin as Research Professor and further continued her postdoctoral research in Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. She was employed as research associate at IIT-Delhi and then continued to work there as Young Scientist till October 2017. Her current area of interest deals with transition metal-free greener synthetic approaches to various coupling reactions and C-H functionalization. She has approximately 25 research publications in reputed international journals, an international patent, and an Indian copyright. Four more Indian patents have been filed in the last 3 years. She has several national and international research collaborations. She has more than 4 years of teaching experience and mentored 50 students till date. She has trained almost 40 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Currently, she is supervising 2 Ph.D students in their research work. She is the recipient of B. N. Mankad award from Indian Chemical Society, India. She is an affiliate member of Royal Chemical Society, CRSI, and editorial board member of American Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry.
