Dr. Mallikarjuna N. Nadagouda received his Ph.D. from India in 2003. After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked for General Electric (GE) in Bangalore, India for two years before moving on to work with the late Professor Alan G. MacDiarmid at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Nadagouda went on to become an Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) postdoctoral fellow at the United State Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), and subsequently achieved his current position as a Physical Scientist at NRMRL in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also an adjunct professor at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. He has worked in the areas of nanomaterials and nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, green chemistry, polymer blends, solid coatings, solid state chemistry and drug delivery. He has received several Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA) from the EPA, including the National Risk Management Research Laboratory Goal 1 Award. He is recipient of “Chemist of the Year” award” from ACS. He is a member of the editorial advisory board of several international journals, has published ~ 250 papers in reviewed journals with a citation index ~13025 (H index 53), and holds several patents.

Then, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Graduate University of Advanced Technology, Kerman, Iran in 2012. He has published more than 150 research papers, many reviews and has more than 5463 citations with an h-index of 40. His research interest includes development and synthesis of new nanomaterials for application in electrochemical biosensors and drug delivery systems.

He was the recipient of the Young Research Awards of Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan and the Outstanding Research Award of Ministry of Science and Technology, the Excellent Research Professor Award of the CSME in recognition of his outstanding research work in the area of nanotechnology, and the Outstanding Young Scientists Award of Mechanics Society.

Dr. Du conducts research in nanotechnology, particularly development of small-scale devices, materials and analytical systems for biomedical diagnosis, drug delivery and energy and environmental applications. Her research has resulted in over 200 publications with a total citation about 6,200 and h-index 53.

H. Weman is known for his work with nanomaterials. He studied at Linköping University for a Master of Applied Physics and a doctorate in Materials Science at the dissertation Optical Studies of Excitonic Impact ionization and complex defects in silicon. He worked at the same place from 1992 to 2005, as associate professor, while at the same time senior lecturer at the Swiss Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich. He has been a professor of nanoelectronics, nanophotonics and nanomagnetism at NTNU in Trondheim. There he has led a group of researchers in the field of nanopartners together with Professor Bjørn-Ove Fimland. He established the company CrayoNano AS in cooperation with NTNU's Technology Transfer Office.

Dr. Shengyuan Yang obtained his bachelor degree from Fudan University in 2008. He then pursued his doctorate degree directly in the National University of Singapore by taking up the prestigious NGS Scholarship. He received his PhD in 2013 before he finally returned home and joined the College of Materials Sciences and Engineering, Donghua University in late 2014 as an associate professor while his research is centered in novel applications of electrospun nanomaterials like wearable electronics and smart clothes. He has published more than 10 papers including covers in Energy Environ. Sci.、J. Mater. Chem. A、ACS Appl. Energy Mater.、J. Power Sources etc. as the corresponding authors and currently participated in several national key R&D projects. He is also the Vice Director of DHU International Cooperation Office.

Wendong Liu received B.S. degree in 2012 from Jilin University. He did PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Bai Yang from Jilin University, and defended his PhD thesis in June 2017. Then he went to Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer research in Mainz as a postdoc under the supervision of Prof. Hans-Jürgen Butt and Dr. Michael Kappl. His research interests are related to patterned surfaces; cell adhesion; suprawetting and anisotropic wetting surfaces; supraparticles. He has published 31 research articles, 2 reviews, and 2 chapters.
