Abstract
Three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound provides a major diagnostic tool in the examination of fetal face abnormalities. 3D ultrasound enables spatial orientation, which is crucial for the evaluation of fetuses with facial malformations, especially ones with cleft palate. This chapter summarizes the different modalities currently undertaken to examine fetal face with special emphasis on the palate, ears and eyes, providing practical tools for manipulation of volumes.
Keywords: Fetal ear, Fetal eye, Fetal face, Fetal palate, Prenatal diagnosis, Threedimensional ultrasound.
