Introduction

Colorectal cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with high incidence and mortality rates despite advancements in treatment strategies. Conventional therapies often face limitations such as systemic toxicity, drug resistance, and suboptimal targeting. The advent of nanomedicines and innovative drug delivery systems offers new hope for overcoming these challenges and improving patient outcomes. This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest research and developments in the application of nanomedicines and targeted therapies specifically for colorectal cancer. We invite submissions that address various aspects of this field, including but not limited to: 1. Nanomedicines in Colorectal Cancer Therapy: Investigate the design, development, and application of nanomedicines for colorectal cancer. Focus on how these systems improve drug targeting, reduce side effects, and enhance therapeutic efficacy. Contributions may include novel nanomedicine formulations and their preclinical and clinical results. 2. Drug Targeting and Delivery Systems for Colorectal Cancer Treatment: Explore advanced drug delivery systems tailored for colorectal cancer. This includes innovations in carrier systems, targeted mechanisms to improve drug delivery and efficacy, and strategies for overcoming drug resistance. 3. Nanosystems and Antibody/Peptide Modified Drugs for Colorectal Cancer Treatment: Discuss the integration of nanotechnology with antibody or peptide-based therapies for colorectal cancer. Highlight how these approaches enhance selective targeting, reduce systemic toxicity, and improve treatment outcomes.
