Introduction
In recent years, a range of novel nanomaterials have been developed and found broad applications in various fields. By controlling the synthesis process and modifying the nanomaterials, novel properties and functions can be tailored to form nanocomposites. This thematic issue aims to highlight the latest advances in the preparation of nanoscale functional materials such as novel carbon materials and porous materials (metal-organic frameworks, MOFs) and their composites with diverse synthesis methods. In addition, their applications in biomedicine and analytical chemistry including (but are not limited to) nano drugs and drug delivery systems, bio/chemosensors for environmental monitoring and disease detection and diagnosis, as well as nanomaterials-involved therapy approaches will also be covered in this issue.
