Introduction
Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) techniques are widely applied for biological and biomedical applications due to their excellent sensitivity and specificity. SERS biosensing mainly includes both direct detection, label-free detection, and SERS imaging, which are applied for disease biomarkers detection, structure measurement of biomolecules, in vivo SERS imaging, and so on. Therefore, SERS methods play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease, tissue engineering, surgery, and so on. This special issue of Current Analytical Chemistry aims to help SERS scientists disseminate their results of biological applications. Any contributions related to SERS development for microorganisms, cells, in vivo drug delivery, and tissue engineering are all welcome. We welcome the submission of original research articles, reviews, and short communications.
