Abstract: The Sonogashira cross-coupling with terminal alkynes and Buchwald coupling with aliphatic alcohols in position 6 of 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines was described. The position 3 was functionalized with various terminal alkynes in solution and on solid support to synthesize 3-substituted imidazo[1,2- a]pyridine derivatives.
