Abstract
This paper using high energy ball milling (HEM), researched has discussed the preparation of Al-CNT compound materials at the different milling times, rotary speeds, amount of CNT and sinter technology for their properties of hardness and density and for the preparation the Al-CNT. The milling time is about 30 to 100 min, with a rotational speed of about 300-600/rpm and the wt% of CNT being 0-5%. This paper has analyzed the XRD patterns. SEM and STM micrograph, and the results showed that the Al material could be reinforced by CNT using HEM. The hardness of Al-CNT is 75 HB with a density of 2.65 g/cm3 when milling is carried out for 90 min, at CNT being 3%.
