Abstract
The synthesis of 6-[3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-2-propenoyl]-2(3H)-benzoxazolone, N-alkyl derivatives and their cytotoxic activity in vitro against the human cell line BV-173 (chronic myeloid leukemia in lymphoblast crisis) are described. 3-Methyl-6-[3-oxo-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-1-propenyl]-2(3H)-benzoxazolone as a constitutional isomer of 3-methyl-6-[3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-2-propenyl]-2(3H)-benzoxazolone is synthesized and its influence on cytotoxic activity is investigated.
