Abstract: In this communication a convenient and novel method for the stereospecific synthesis of chiral tetrahydroquinoxaline, 2,3-dihydro-benzo[1,4]dioxin and 2,3-dihydro-naphtho[2,3-b][1,4]dioxin derivatives from anhydro sugars is described.
