Abstract
Chitosan can be used to prepare the carriers, such as nanoparticles (NPs), intelligent gels, microspheres, nano/microencapsulation, and so on. Its applications in the drug delivery are more broad. Dextran can be combined with drugs by non-covalent crosslinking method or covalent modification mode in the course of delivery. The applications of chitosan and dextran as carriers for drug delivery were summed up herein.
