Abstract

This review focuses on recent patents for the design and implementation of nanodevices to isolate and characterize single immune cells. Specifically, the most common categories of single cell assays were reviewed and new strategies were suggested to expand the capabilities of nanodevices further for the study of human immune disease.

Keywords: Nanodevices, single cell characterization, microfluidics, nanowells, immune cells, immune disease, Immunological Assays, Single Cell, biological event, high-content analysis, Droplet based microfluidic, Immune monitoring, cytokine profiling,, Coulomb forces, dimethylsiloxane), single-cell microenvironments
