Abstract
Empower: Access to Medicine’s contribution will document the founding of Empower: Access to Medicine and tactics used to create a lobbying campaign designed to facilitate the debate around barriers to medical innovation and patient access to medicines.
The article will detail the evolution of the campaign’s goals and the potential solutions to an expensive and slow system. Specifically the submission will look at the influence that Empower: Access to Medicine had on the Government’s thinking and development of an early access scheme.
