Prof. Dominique Persano Adorno, Ph.D. in Applied Physics, is an Associate Professor of Applied Physics in the Department of Physics and Chemistry "E. Segrè" at the University of Palermo. Dr. Natale Quartuccio is a consultant in Nuclear Medicine at the A.R.N.A.S. Ospedali Civico Di Cristina Benfratelli, Palermo, Italy. In 2009, he graduated from the Medical School of the University of Palermo. Dr. Luca Filippi works as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist in the Nuclear Medicine Department of “Santa Maria Goretti” Hospital in Latina (Italy). Dr Franca Podo, Laurea in Physics (DrSci) at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, has been for about thirty years Research Director at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS, Rome), where she acted as Head of the “Physical Biochemistry”and “Molecular and Cellular Imaging” Units. Ernesto Roldan-Valadez, M.D., M.Sc., D.Sc., is a Mexican physician, Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist, and Researcher. He has worked as a consultant radiologist in Medical Imaging and Academic Publishing for public and private institutions in Mexico and internationally; since 2011, he has been a Professor in the master's and doctorate programs in Medical Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He finished his studies in Mexico: an MD degree (at the Autonomous University of Guerrero); later, he specialized in diagnostic radiology, a fellowship in whole-body MRI (2007-2008), and a Master's and Doctoral degrees in Medical Sciences (2008-2010 and 2011-2014 respectively); the UNAM granted his postgraduate diplomas. Dr. Roldan-Valadez holds medical societies membership related to his specialty in Mexico, Europe, and the USA. He combines his activities as a tutor for all ages (mentoring undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students), coach, clinical investigator, and consultant. Thomas D. Scholz, M.D., is a pediatric cardiologist. He did post-doctoral training in the Laboratory of Cardiac Energetics at NIH from 1991-1993 before joining the The University of Iowa in 1993. Dr. Ge Wang is Clark & Crossan Chair Professor and the Director of the Biomedical Imaging Center, RPI, USA. He authored the papers on the first spiral/helical cone-beam/multi-slice CT algorithm. Currently, there are over 100 million medical CT scans yearly with a majority in the spiral cone-beam mode. He pioneered bioluminescence tomography. His group published the first papers on interior tomography and omni-tomography (“all-in-one”) to acquire diverse datasets simultaneously (“all-at-once”). He is currently doing editorial/reviewing work for various highly reputed SCI/SCIE journals. His research areas primarily are image fusion, image enhancement, image registration and image denoising.
Dr. Hong Lin received his PhD in Computer Science and was a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University, an assistant research officer at the National Research Council, Canada, and a software engineer at Nokia, Inc. Dr. Lin is currently a professor in University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Houston, TX. His research interests include data analytics, human-centered computing, and parallel/distributed computing. He is a senior member of the ACM.
Dr. Kaan Orhan, DDS MSc MHM Ph.D., BBA is a Professor of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology at Ankara University and a board member of Medical Design Application and Research Center (MEDITAM) at Ankara University, Turkey, and a visiting Professor at the Faculty of Medical Dentistry at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland and a visiting Professor at the OMFS- IMPATH Research Group, Department of Imaging and Pathology, University of Leuven, Belgium. He received his degree in 1998 and completed his Ph.D. and specialization in Maxillofacial Radiology in 2002 at Osaka University, Japan, and Ankara University, Turkey. He is the editor of several journals, including & BMC Medical Imaging & Radiology: Open Access and Oral Radiology and a reviewer for more than 50 different journals in his field. He has written or co-authored more than ten books in English and Turkish as well as over 250 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence (AI) I, machine Learning, Micro-CT, CT, CBCT, and MRI, ultrasound (USG), head and neck radiology.
Paolo Spinnato studied ‘Medicine and Surgery’ at the University of Bologna (2001-2007). He attended residency (Radiology) at the University of Bologna (2008-2012) and graduated with a score of 70/70 cum laude. His scientific thesis in the field of musculoskeletal oncology was later published in the ‘European Journal of Radiology.’ Since 2012, he works at Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna as a radiology specialist. His research and clinical activity focus on both diagnostic and interventional radiology. His main field of expertise is in musculoskeletal radiology. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications (33 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 2 book chapters and more than 60). Dr. Spinnato serves as a reviewer for several medical journals (‘Academic Radiology’, ‘Cancer Management and Research’, ‘BMJ Case Reports’, ‘Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology’, ‘BMC Medical Imaging’).
