Nanomedicine

Publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews, case reports and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to nanomedicine.

The Nanomedicine section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews, case reports and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to nanomedicine.

This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of a multidisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following nanomedicine areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

Dr. J. ZHANG received her M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry in 2013 from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and her Ph.D. in the Department of Biology and Chemistry at City University of Hong Kong, in 2017. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, China. Her research interests mainly focus on the design and fabrication of multifunctional nanomaterials for drug delivery, bioimaging and treatment of various diseases. She has authored or co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal papers with an H-index of 20.

Dr.Vijayakumar Sekar currently works Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Marine College, Shandong University, Weihai, P.R.China. Dr.Vijayakumar does research in Nanopharmacology and Nanotoxicology, Nanobiotechnology, Biomaterials, Biofilms, Infectious Diseases, Ecotoxicity, Limnology, Immunology and Zoology. He has published more than fifty research findings in top most peer reviewed index journals with a total impact factor of above 130. and he acted as a reviewer of the various international Elsevier, RSC,Frontiers, BMC and Springer journals. Further one of the editorial members of frontier Environmental microbiology journal and he acted as a Review editor for Nanomaterials in Frontiers in Nanotechnology journal. He has participated and presented research findings in various national and international conferences.

Dr. Wen Shi received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009 and obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in 2015. His doctoral research was focused on developing novel, biodegradable peptide and polymer conjugates for cancer imaging and drug delivery. He worked for two years as a formulation and bioanalytical scientist in a company and joined Duan Lab at UNMC in 2018 as a post-doctoral researcher. Currently he is an instructor in UNMC in the department of internal medicine and his research interests include the development of hydrogel-based materials for 3D culture, tissue engineering, drug screening and drug delivery.

Dr. Yi Hu after receiving his Bachelor's of Science degree in biology from Wuhan University in China, also obtained a PhD at the National University of Singapore. He pursued postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and then joined IHEP as a principal investigator supported by the "Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Xiaoyue Zhu received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Huazhong Agriculture University. In 2016, she completed her Ph.D in City University of Hong Kong. Currently, she is working at the University of Rhode Island, US, and mainly focuses on vascular-mediated aspects of cognitive impairment and dementia in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related disorders.

Dr. WeiQi Wang is currently an assosiate professor at the School of Pharmacy, Nantong University, Chi. She received her Ph.D. degree in 2017 at Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has published several articles and conference abstracts in various well-reputed journals. Her research mainly focused on the design, synthesis of novel theranostic hybrid nanostructures for precise drug delivery, immune activation and tumor microenvironment regulation.

Dr Mengjiao Zhou is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy at Nantong University. He received a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials at the Soochow University in 2018. Her current research interests include responsive nanomaterials, multifunctional nanomedicines, and combined cancer therapy.
