Dr. Mallikarjuna N. Nadagouda received his Ph.D. from India in 2003. After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked for General Electric (GE) in Bangalore, India for two years before moving on to work with the late Professor Alan G. MacDiarmid at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Nadagouda went on to become an Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) postdoctoral fellow at the United State Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), and subsequently achieved his current position as a Physical Scientist at NRMRL in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also an adjunct professor at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. He has worked in the areas of nanomaterials and nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, green chemistry, polymer blends, solid coatings, solid state chemistry and drug delivery. He has received several Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA) from the EPA, including the National Risk Management Research Laboratory Goal 1 Award. He is recipient of “Chemist of the Year” award” from ACS. He is a member of the editorial advisory board of several international journals, has published ~ 250 papers in reviewed journals with a citation index ~13025 (H index 53), and holds several patents.
Hassan Karimi-Maleh received his BSc degree in Chemistry from the Islamic Azad University, 2003 and then his MSc degree from the Mazandaran University, Iran in 2006. He received his PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2011. Then, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Graduate University of Advanced Technology, Kerman, Iran in 2012. He has published more than 150 research papers, many reviews and has more than 5463 citations with an h-index of 40. His research interest includes development and synthesis of new nanomaterials for application in electrochemical biosensors and drug delivery systems.
Prof. Te-Hua Fang is a pioneer in molecular dynamics and nanotechnology. His current research interests include nanomaterials, sensors, and molecular dynamics, with over 300 journal publications. He is a Fellow of the Taiwanese Institution of Knowledge Innovation. He is the Chair Professor of National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, Taiwan. He was the recipient of the Young Research Awards of Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan and the Outstanding Research Award of Ministry of Science and Technology, the Excellent Research Professor Award of the CSME in recognition of his outstanding research work in the area of nanotechnology, and the Outstanding Young Scientists Award of Mechanics Society.
Dr. M.V. Reddy obtained his Ph. D from University of Bordeaux, France. He has been working in National University of Singapore and on the Li-ion battery materials. He has published 120 papers and gave 58 talks at various conferences. He is serving as EABM in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Asia, Materials Research Bulletin and several other open access Journals and Societies. His project won 2nd prize in prestigious Intel ISEF 2013 and 1st prize from American Chemical Society, USA. He won Outstanding Science Mentorship Awards in 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 and Inspiring Research Mentor Awards in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015.
Dr. Chen received her B.Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University (2009) and Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (2015). She has been engaged in research and development of structure/property relationships for metal oxide materials used in wear-resistant and catalytic applications. She has authored or co-authored 13 articles that have been published in ACS Catalysis, Journal of Catalysis, Nature Communications, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and so on. She is currently a senior engineer at Kennametal Inc, with a main research focus in thin-film development, surface technology, high temperature CVD reactions, microstructure characterization of materials from nanoscale to bulk.
Dr. Dan Du obtained her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Nanjing University, China. Currently she is a Research Professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering and in the Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health. Dr. Du conducts research in nanotechnology, particularly development of small-scale devices, materials and analytical systems for biomedical diagnosis, drug delivery and energy and environmental applications. Her research has resulted in over 200 publications with a total citation about 6,200 and h-index 53.
Dr. Luis M. Carrillo-Lopez is a Professor and Researcher at the Animal Science and Ecology Faculty of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, and researcher of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). He received PhD in Plant Physiology from the Colegio de Postgraduados en Ciencias Agrícolas in 2015. He was a research fellow at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has published more than 35 papers and 5 book chapters. He is a Reviewer of the journal "Molecules". His research activity is focused on biological synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles for applications in agriculture and foods, electron microscopy in biological sciences, high-intensity ultrasound and emerging technologies in foods, meat and dairy products and sensory studies in foods. Finally, Dr. Carrillo-Lopez is a level 1 member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico.
Dr. Laura Clarizia is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Materials and Industrial Production of the University of Naples Federico II. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 2017. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio (US). She has published more than 25 papers and 3 book chapters. She is Editorial Board member of Journal of Environmental Engineering and Science and Environmental Research, Engineering and Management. Her research activity is focused on hydrogen production through solar photoreforming, removal of heavy metals and organics from marine sediments and wastewaters by solar photocatalysis, Advanced Oxidation Processes of recalcitrant pollutants and their kinetic modeling, and selective photo-oxidations for green chemistry.
Alysia Cox is a postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in nanomedicine, pharmacology and neurodegenerative disorders. She completed her PhD in Translational and Molecular Medicine from the University of Milano-Bicocca. She went on to complete postdocs in Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the University of Southern California, where she is currently working on nanoparticle-based gene therapy delivery for autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). She is the recipient of the PKD Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship 2021-2023, to work on nanoparticle-mediated mRNA delivery to treat ADPKD.
Dr. Draryoush Emadzadeh received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from The University of Technology Malaysia in 2014. He also received his Postdoctoral fellow from the University of Ottawa, Canada in 2016. He is now a visiting professor at the University of Ottawa. He has published more than 40 papers and authorized more than 2 book chapters. Dr. Emadzadeh’ research and scholarly interests are in the area of nanocomposite membrane for water treatment, wastewater reclamation, and desalination. He has been investigating on nanomaterials in Nanofiltration, Reverse osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Forward osmosis and pressure-driven membrane processes as industry standards for desalination and water reuse.
Dr. S. Balakumar is the Professor and Director of National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Madras, India. He received his Ph. D. in Materials Science from Anna University, India. He has over 160 Journal publications, 4 book chapters and 10 patents to his credit. He has also edited and published 4 books. He has organized more than 15 National/International. He has received the “Best Nanowire Project Award” from A-Star Singapore. He is also an associate editor and editorial board member and reviewer of many international journals. He is also a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and Fellow of Academy of Sciences, Chennai.
Prof Atul Thakur is M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. From Himachal Pradesh University- Shimla. He has completed his Post Doctorate fellowship from University of Brest, France. Another Postdoctorate from National Taiwan University- Taiwan. Prof Thakur is currently heading Himalayan Center of excellence in Nanotechnology at Shoolini University Solan, India. Prof Thakur has worked on various projects sponsored by DRDO, DAE, DST, MNRE. Recently, he has been awarded Newton Award from Royal Academy of Engineering –UK. He has published more than 60 International Research Papers and filed three Patents.
Fan Wu is currently a research scientist at Harvard University, working on the field of lithium ion battery and all-solid-state batteries. Before joining Harvard, Dr. Wu was a postdoc fellow at Princeton University, working on the subject of piezoelectric nanomaterials for energy generation and harvesting. Dr. Wu is an expert in materials characterization and analyses, using electron microscopy techniques including TEM, SEM, XRD and etc.
Dr. Ahmad M. Mohammad received his B.Sc. in 1995 from the Faculty of Science at Cairo University. He was awarded M.Sc. (Physical Chemistry-Surface Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Physical Chemistry-Nanotechnology) from Cairo University in 1999 and 2004, respectively. In 2001, he joined the Pennsylvania State University as a Research Assistant for two years. In 2005, he joined the Tokyo Institute of Technology as a research fellow and collaborated over there with Sanyo Electric Co, Ltd for two years. He worked for the British University in Egypt (Egypt/ Associate Professor/ 2011-2015), American University in Cairo (Egypt/Professor/2019) and Higher Technological Institute (Egypt/Professor/2019). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry at Cairo University. His main research deals with the fabrication of hybrid nanomaterial for water treatment and energy conversions. So far, he has published 72 articles in reputable international journals, participated in 92 conferences and owned several recognitions and awards.
Dr. Gomaa A. M. Ali is an Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He has 12 years of experience working in the research area of Materials Science, Nanocomposites, Humidity Sensing, Graphene, Supercapacitors, Water Treatment and Drug Delivery. Dr Gomaa has published over 75 journal articles, as well as 5 book chapters on a broad range of cross‐disciplinary research fields including advanced multifunctional materials, nanotechnology, supercapacitor, water treatment, humidity sensing, biosensing, corrosion, drug delivery, and materials for energy applications. He has served as a Senior Editor and board member of many international journals, as well as a reviewer for more than 25 WoS journals. Dr. Abbas Amini is currently an assistant professor at ACK and Western Sydney University, Australia. After obtaining PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranked 17th in Engineering among the universities worldwide, he conducted research with Australian universities, as a postdoctoral research fellow at Monash and Deakin Universities, and as a senior research fellow at the University of Melbourne. His fine outcomes have been presented in high impact factor journals, e.g., Nature publication group, and a recent published book in 2016. Abbas is the editor of more than 20 reputed journals, and served as the chair/committee member of more than 120 international conferences to date.
Bin Ai received his BSc degree in chemistry from Jilin University in 2011. Then he joined State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University, and received a PhD degree in polymeric chemistry and physics in July, 2016. From July, 2016 to July, 2018, he worked on plasmonic nanostructures as a postdoc in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University of Georgia, Athens, USA. Now, He is a postdoc in Department of Aerospace Engineering, Texas A&M University, College Station, USA. His scientific interests are plasmonics, nanophotonics, nanofabrication, metamaterials, sensor, and perovskite solar cells.
Lavinia BALAN obtained the PhD degree from the University Henry Poincaré in Nancy, France, in 2005. Her PhD was devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. After a post doctorate in Orleans and then in Mulhouse, she joined the Department of Photochemistry of Mulhouse in 2006 as a CNRS Senior Researcher. She opened a new field of research in this laboratory, viz. the photo-assisted synthesis of metal nanoparticles and metal-polymer nanocomposite. Since December 2009, L. Balan joined the Institute of Materials Science of Mulhouse (IS2M)-CNRS.
Francesco Chiadini received the M.S. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from University of Salerno in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2006 joining the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Salerno – Italy. From 2012, he is in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno – Italy. He is SPIE Senior Member and IEEE Senior Member. He has been in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and Science Monitor at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory - Livingston (LA-USA).
Dr. Neeraj Chauhan is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, School of Medicine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, McAllen, TX, USA. She received her Ph.D. in 2017 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN, USA, majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Drug Delivery concentration. Dr. Chauhan has extensive and diverse 10+ years’ experience in Oncology, Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutics research. MJ Deen is a Distinguished University Professor, Senior Canada Research Chair and Director of the Micro- and Nano-Systems Laboratory, McMaster University. He is regarded as a world-leader in nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, nanotechnology and their emerging applications to health and environmental sciences. His research record includes more than 530 peer-reviewed articles, two textbooks on Silicon Photonics and Fiber Optic Communications, and sixteen best paper/poster/presentation awards. Over his career, he has won more than fifty awards and honors and is elected to Fellow status in ten national academies and professional societies including The Royal Society of Canada, IEEE, APS and ECS.
Zhengfei Dai is currently a professor at the Xi'an Jiaotong University. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Solid State of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. Then, he worked at Korea University as Research Professor and Kyoto University as a JSPS Research fellow till Feb. 2016. After that, he has worked as a research fellow in Nanyang Technological University. His research interests mainly focus on micro/nanostructured arrays and their applications in gas sensors, secondary batteries, and electrocatalysts. He has published 49 papers in the international journals including Matter, Angew. Chem, ACS Nano, Small, etc. with an H-index of 24.
Kaveh Edalati obtained a Ph.D. degree in materials physics and chemistry from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2010. He is currently an assistant professor at the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I2CNER), Kyushu University. He is the co-author of about hundred papers and his research interests are Hydrogen Storage, Energy Materials, Nanostructured Metallic Materials, Phase Transformations, and Severe Plastic Deformation.
Dr. Hany Elazab is a senior Assistant Professor and Program Director of the chemical engineering department at British University in Egypt (BUE) validated from London South Bank University (LSBU). He was awarded his Ph.D from (VCU) in USA. He participated in several research projects in Nanotechnology, Catalysis, and Micro Reactor Technology funded from (NSF) in USA. He was also awarded Early Research Career Award, Young Investigator Research Grant (YIRG) and High Impact Research Award from the British University in Egypt (BUE). He is teaching courses of engineering thermodynamics, catalysis, mass and energy balance, chemical engineering thermodynamics, and petrochemical production processes. His research interests are in the general areas of Energetic materials, nanostructured materials, Nanoalloys, Graphene, nucleation on nanoparticles and heterogeneous catalysis, synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, cross-coupling reactions for batch and continuous operations, Synthesis of Graphene based Palladium - magnetite catalyst under batch and flow reaction conditions (flow reactor technology) for Suzuki cross – coupling reaction used in pharmaceutical industry as an easy separable magnetic catalyst by applying an external magnetic field.
Dr. Mohammad Hemmat Esfe is currently Professor of mechanics at Imam Hossein University in IRAN. He earned his Bachelor and master of science of mechanical engineering at University of Kashan, and his PhD in mechanical engineering from University of Semnan in 2014, working with Prof. Seyfollah Saedodin. In his thesis, he focused on thermal and rheological properties of various nanofluids. Dr. Mohammad Hemmat Esfe accepted the position of Assistant Professor position. He continued his work on experimental investigation of thermal and rheological behaviors of hybrid nanofluids.
Dr. Fritzsche after finishing his diploma in chemistry at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, Germany, did his PhD thesis work in the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Gottingen, Germany, and obtained his PhD from the university. He is head of the department of Nano-biophotonics at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT) in Jena. He has published more than 130 peer-reviewed publications, several invited book chapters, co-author of two monographs and editor of about 10 books.
Dr. Georgios I. Giannopoulos received his diploma and PhD degree from the Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics Department of the University of Patras in Greece. From 2009 until 2016, he was full time Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece. Since 2016 he is employed as Engineer in major public works at the General Secretary of Infrastructure of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Since 2017, he teaches at the Department of Materials Science in the University of Patras. He currently conducts research on the characterization of nanomaterials, nanocomposites and nanosystems.
Dr. Guo is a full professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). He completed his Ph.D. dissertation at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). Dr. Guo had a one-year research experience at the University of Greifswald, Germany as a visiting professor. Prof. Guo is member of EB of several international journals and serves as referees for 40 SCI journals. Dr. Guo has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 22 issued patents in addition to numerous conference presentations.
Professor Ching-Hwa Ho got PhD degree from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He is now a full professor at the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He got the excellent research award and prominent research award from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He authored more than 150 renowned international journals with an h-index about 25 in the fields of 2D semiconductors, chalcogenides crystal growth and semiconductor optoelectronics. Dr. David Hui is a professor of Mechanical Engineering and director of Composites Materials Research Laboratory at the University of New Orleans. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Aerospace Engineering. Dr. Hui has edited over 40 books, proceedings and numerous special issues of journals, and served as keynote lecturers. He has served as founder and editor-in-chief of the journal, Composites B Engineering journal. Currently, he serves on the editorial board of 41 international journals. He is ASME Fellow, ICCE Life Member, AIAA Associate Fellow and CASI Associate Fellow and has received numerous awards. He is also the chairman of ICCE.
Biuck Habibi is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Electroanalytical Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Tabriz (Iran). His research interests mainly concern the development of new electrochemical sensors, biosensors and in the area of synthesis and preparation of nanoparticles and their application in electrocatalysis. Biuck Habibi is the author or co-author of 52 publications in the International Journals (ISI indexed), and over 80 contributions in national and international symposia. On June 2017, in Google Scholar there are 52 documents with 1367 citations and H-index of 21.
Dr. G. Louis Hornyak received his PhD from Colorado State University, USA. Currently, he is the director of the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology at AIT. He conducts research in Carbon nanotube synthesis, Superhydrophobic surfaces, Electromagnetic optical materials simulation, Anti-fouling and anti-corrosion coatings, Nanofluidics, Electrochemistry. He has been with COEN since its opening in 2009. He has helped several students with their coursework and research programs over the years. He is the lead author of nano textbooks Introduction to Nanoscience and Fundamentals of Nanotechnology, both published by CRC Press. He is also the editor of the Perspectives in Nanotechnology Series, also published by CRC Press.
Dr. Mohsen Izadi is an assistant professor in Lorestan University. He received his M.Sc in Mechanical Eng. in 2009 from Sahand University of Technology and PhD from The Shahrood University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. His research interests focus on Nanofluids, Numerical Modeling and experimental study on various areas of heat transfer enhancement, natural and forced convection, MHD flows.
Dr. Nicole Jaffrezic-Renault received her engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie, Paris, and the Doctorat d’Etat és Sciences Physiques from the University of Paris. As the Director of Research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, past president of the chemical micro sensor club, president of the Analytical Division of the French Chemical Society, her research activities at the Institute of Analytical Sciences, include conception and design of (bio)chemical sensors and their integration in microsystems. She coordinates several European and national projects for the development of microsystems for biomedical and environmental monitoring and for food safety.
Dr. Kiani received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT). Currently he is serving as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Shahrekord university. He is also the editorial board member of Journal of Thermal Stresses, Advanced in Automotive Engineering and Iranian Journal of Mechanical Engineering Transaction of the ISME. Dr. Kiani’s researches are focused on mechanics of advanced composites such as graphene reinforced and CNT reinforced composites, mechanics of FGMs, structural stability and thermoelasticity theories.
Kamil Kahveci graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Trakya University in 2003. He obtained MSc in 1995 and PhD in 1998 from Trakya University. He has been working as a Professor at Trakya University since 2015. He has been at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for one year in 2013 as a visiting professor. He is a lifetime honorary fellow of Australian Institute of High Energetic Material. He is one of the recipients of the Ludwig Mond Prize in 2009 from the Process Industries Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, London, England. He is also the recipient of Peer Review Award by Publons in 2018.
Dr. Sushil Kumar Kansal is an academician and researcher of international recognition at the Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engg. & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. His research areas are environmental science and engineering, biomaterials, advanced oxidation processes, nanotechnology, air pollution, mass transfer, water pollution and material science. Dr. Keivan Kiani got B.Sc. degree in civil engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 1999. Subsequently, he was awarded M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees with major in structural engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2002 and 2010, respectively. The expert field of Dr. Kiani is modeling of structures range from nano- to macro- scales. His current research is focus on the wave propagation in, vibrations and dynamic instability of nanostructures using advanced elasticity theories. Dr. Mohamed KHALFAOUI obtained his PhD in physics in 2004 from the university of Monastir, Tunisia. From September 2004, he has been working at the higher institute of computer sciences and mathematics of Monastir (Tunisia). Currently, Dr. KHALFAOUI is a senior lecturer in physics. He has been working on statistical mechanics modeling of surfaces and interfaces. He published dozens of articles in many international journals and various conferences. Till 2018, his H-index was 13 with over 554 citations. The main research areas are: adsorption, porous materials, statistical mechanics modeling, Molecular dynamics, DFT, organic electronics, and sensors.
Dr. Jun Liu is a Lecturer of Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. He holds his PhD in Dalian University of Technology, University of Kansas. His works are meaningful contribution on hydrodynamic analysis and design for the porous structures and computational electromagnetics, and also produces good results for engineering applications. His current research themes include, Dynamic Analysis of Nuclear Power Plant Construction Project, Wave Interaction with Ocean Structure, Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method, Sloshing Problems, Fluid-structure Interaction Analysis, Analysis of Electromagnetic Theory and Electromagnetic Materials, and Analysis of Pavement Materials.
Prof. Lin obtained a Ph.D. in Electro-Optics from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He is currently the Distinguished Professor and the Chairman of Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. Prof. Lin has a broad research spectrum covering Group IV nanomaterials based photonics, fiber lasers and optical communications, millimeter-wave photonics, and waveguide based all-optical processing. Prof. Lin has authored more than 300 journal papers. He is the Fellow of OSA, SPIE, IET, and IOP.
Jerzy Pawel Lukaszewiczcompleted MSc in Chemistry at Nicholaus Copernicus University (NCU), Torun (Poland). PhD and DSc (Habilitation) from the Nicholaus Copernicus University in the area of Chemistry and Materials Science. His current employment at the Faculty of Chemistry NCU is as Associate Professor. He is Head of the Chair of Materials Chemistry Adsorption and Catalysis. Director of the Center of Modern Interdisciplinary Technology of NCU. His current research interests include N-rich activated carbons, Graphene exfoliation and 3-D structurization, Biomass thermal degradation. He is author and co-author of more than 100 papers and patents. He has participated in more than 200 conferences. His Current research topic are 3D nano-scale structuration of graphene flakes by physical and chemical methods, carbon molecular sieves, separation of C3-C4 gas mixtures, N-rich nano-porous carbon matrixes, thermal direct conversion of polymers to multi-walled carbon nano tubes.
Professor Stephen Lee holds a PhD in microbiology from the University of Minnesota, with expertise in protein chemistry and protein engineering, and is an inventor on multiple patents in those areas. He is currently an associate professor in the department of Biomedical Engineering at the Ohio State University and serves in editorial positions for multiple academic journals.
Dr. Li Li is is an associate professor of mechanical engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology since 2019. He received PhD from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. His research areas are multidisciplinary in nature, including mechanics of nanostructures and nanocomposites. His works have been being supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published over 70 SCI papers including over 10 ESI Highly Cited Papers with sum citation of over 2000 times. He is a technical reviewer for over 50 international journals and book reviewer for some publishers.
Dr. Daniel Lu received his MS and PhD degrees on Polymer Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the Technical Director of Henkel Corporation (China). His current research interests cover advanced materials for interconnects and packaging for electronics and optoelectronics applications. He received many awards and has published more than 50 technical papers, wrote chapters for five books, editor and co-author of books and holds 75 US patents. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology and Journal of Nanomaterials, and an editorial board member of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology-Asia.
Dr Vijay Mishra is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara (Punjab), India. He earned his doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H.S. Gour Central University, (MP). He has been a recipient of several internationally acclaimed fellowships and awards including Graduate Research Fellowship (AICTE, New Delhi), UGC-BSR Senior Research Fellowship (UGC, New Delhi) and International Travel Award/Grant (DBT, New Delhi). He has authored more than 55 international publications in reputed journals, 6 book chapters, 3 books on pharmaceutical dosage forms and 4 Indian patents (filed). Raffaele Marotta is Associate Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Materials and Industrial Production of the University of Naples Federico II. He is involved in research activities in the field of Advanced Oxidation Processes of biorefractory pollutants in aqueous solution, fate of xenobiotics in the aquatic environment, kinetic modelling of oxidation processes of organic substances in water, hazard evaluation in chemical processes, removal of heavy metals from waters by solar photocatalytic technologies, solar chemical processes and photo-assisted selective oxidation processes for green and sustainable chemistry.
Dr. Mohd Firdaus Malek obtained Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia in 2017. He received his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and masters in electrical engineering from UiTM, Malaysia in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He is currently a senior lecturer and research fellow at the faculty of Applied Sciences and Institute of Science (IOS), UiTM, respectively. His field of research covers nanomaterials and nanodevices. He has authored over 100 journal articles and conference proceedings.
Dr. Samiran Mondal is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Rammohan College, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He received his B.Sc degree in Chemistry and M.Sc degree in Organic Chemistry from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. His PhD work involved development of biogenic synthetic methods for metal nanoparticles. He has worked as HFSP-CDF Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyoto University, Japan with Prof. Dr. Tasuku Honjo, Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine 2018. He received many National and International awards and fellowships including Jeffrey Modell foundation Best Abstract Award in the Frontiers in Immunology 2014 conference organized by Nobel Forum, Stockholm. His research interests include synthesis and study of nanoparticles, and development of small molecules based nanomedicine for the treatment of cancer. He has published several papers in the international journals.
Rajendra Mitra, Ph.D., a postdoctoral fellow in the Han Lab at UNC Ophthalmology, has been selected to receive the UNC Postdoctoral Award for Research Excellence for the 2017-2018 academic year. Dr. Mitra’s research is focused on nanotherapeutics, biomedical engineering, drug discovery, gene therapy, angiogenesis and ocular/cancer medicine.
Bahman Nasiri-Tabrizi is a Material Engineer in the Advanced Materials Research Group of the Faculty of Materials Engineering, Najafabad branch, Islamic Azad University. He received M.S. degree in 2009 from Islamic Azad University (IAU). He recently collaborated closely with the University of Malaya as a research assistant. He has published more than 90 research articles, 4 book chapters and a review article in various fields of nanotechnology. Dr. D.N. Pagonis received his Master of Engineering degree in Electronic and Electrical engineering from the University of Loughborough, U.K., in 1999. He received his Master of Science degree and his Ph.D. in the area of Microelectronics from the University of Athens. During 2005-2007, he was holding a Postdoctoral position at the National Centre of Scientific Research “Demokritos”. He joined Athens University of Applied Sciences, where he is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Naval Architecture. He has participated in various research projects while he has authored/co-authored one PCT patent and over 40 papers.

He is Professor and Director of Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Énergie, Matériaux et Télécommunications, Université du Québec, Varennes (QC) Canada. Since January 2014 he holds the UNESCO Chair in Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage and since May 2016 he also holds the Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Nanostructured Materials. He received MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1996 and 2001, respectively. His H index is 46.
Dr. Robert Rioux is currently the Helfferich Assistant Professor at Penn State University. He received a PhD degree in Chemistry at UC Berkeley with Gabor Somorjai followed by a two year postdoctoral appointment at Harvard University with George Whitesides. He has founded a research program at Penn State in the areas of heterogeneous catalysis and nanoscience – in particular the synthesis, characterization and reactivity of nanoparticles. He is on the editorial boards of several leading journals in catalysis science. His work has been recognized by both DARPA and the Air Force through their Young Investigator award programs and recently received an NSF CAREER award.

Dr. Dahua Shou is a researcher in the Department of Fiber Science Ȧ Apparel Design, Cornell University. Prior to joining Cornell in 2014, Dr. Shou worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, Sydney University. He holds a Ph.D from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Dec 2012). Dr. Shou’s research is focused on heat and mass transfer in nano- and microfibrous materials. Dr. Shailesh Narain Sharma is the Principal Scientist and Associate Professor-AcSIR. Xiao-dong Wang holds Professor in Research Center of Engineering Thermophysics at North China Electric Power University. He was elected as the Young and Middle-aged Leading Scientists, Engineers and Innovators in 2018 and supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2015. Dr. James Wang received his PhD from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He is currently a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Swinburne University of Technology. His research interests include nanomaterials, biomaterials, surface analysis, and thin solid films, etc. He has published 9 book chapters and more than 80 papers in referred international journals with an h index of 27.
H. Weman is known for his work with nanomaterials. He studied at Linköping University for a Master of Applied Physics and a doctorate in Materials Science at the dissertation Optical Studies of Excitonic Impact ionization and complex defects in silicon. He worked at the same place from 1992 to 2005, as associate professor, while at the same time senior lecturer at the Swiss Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich. He has been a professor of nanoelectronics, nanophotonics and nanomagnetism at NTNU in Trondheim. There he has led a group of researchers in the field of nanopartners together with Professor Bjørn-Ove Fimland. He established the company CrayoNano AS in cooperation with NTNU's Technology Transfer Office.
Jackie Y. Ying received his Ph.D. at Princeton University. She is currently the Executive Director of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Singapore, and an Adjunct Professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT. She has authored over 310 articles, and presented over 360 invited lectures at international conferences. She has been recognized with a number of research awards. She was the first recipient of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry-BASF Award in Materials Chemistry. She is the Editor-in-Chief and also serves on the Advisory Board of various societies and journals.
Dr. Ali Zarrabi is currently an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at Sabanci University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM), Istanbul, Turkey. He has been active as a faculty member for more than 9 years. His current research interests include Nanobiotechnology, Food Nanotechnology, Nanomedicine, Nanotheranostics, and Wearable Diagnostics. His research group is developing nano-carriers (natural/synthetic) capable of carrying bioactive agents (chemical/nutraceuticals/nutrients) to a specific site of action (targeting) with improved efficacy. In addition, his research group has designed and fabricated some novel wound dressing mats with efficient antibacterial and skin regenerating characteristics. Developing wearable biosensors and diagnostic patches has recently been considered in Zarrabi’s group.
Sahar Zinatloo-Ajabshir obtained her M.Sc. degree in nanoscience and nanotechnology-nanochemistry (2010) from University of Tehran. After completing her PhD degree in nanoscience and nanotechnology (2015) from University of Kashan, Sahar Zinatloo-Ajabshir joined as a post-doc researcher the group of Professor Masoud Salavati-Niasari. She became a member of the faculty of University of Bonab in 2017. Her research interests encompass preparation of ceramic nanomaterials and the different nanoscale materials and investigation their applications in various fields like hydrogen storage, photocalysis, environmental remediation, and drug delivery system. She has published several scientific papers.
Yong Zhou studied chemistry and physics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and received his Ph.D.there in 2000. After working at Kyoto University in 2000–01, the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in 2002–03, the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS, Japan) in 2003–04, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Japan) in 2004–08, and the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2008–09, he joined as a full professor of the Eco-materials and Renewable Energy Research Center (ERERC), School of Physics, National Laboratory of Solid State Microstructures, Nanjing University, China. His research currently focuses on the design and fabrication of solar-light driven clean energy materials for photocatalysis and flexible solar cells. Prof. Zhou has authored more than 100 publications, including 15 reviews and 3 edited books.
Dr. Hamed Barabadi graduated as a Doctor of Pharmacy from Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran, 2014. He completed Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, from School of Pharmacy, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, in 2019. Prior to PhD, he served as a pharmaceutical expert at the Food and Drug Administration at the Department of Inspection and Supervision in Golestan Province, Iran, for two years. Dr. Rocktotpal Konwarh did M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Tezpur University and Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the same university. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Biomaterials and Regenerative medicine from IIT Guwahati. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ethiopia. His research embraces biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, green nanotechnology, nanobiomaterials and biopolymer-nanocomposites for industrial and biomedical applications. His cap of accomplishments includes: Canadian Commonwealth visiting research fellowship from the University of Guelph, Canada and DST-UKIERI project co-investigatorship and post-doctoral visiting research fellowship from the University College London, England. He has received a number of awards. Besides, he is an editorial board member and a reviewer of a few international peer-reviewed journals and has the authorship of a number of research and review articles in the journals of international repute and a couple of book chapters.
Vineet Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor (Biotechnology) in the School of Bioengineering and Biosciences, LPU, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. His areas of interest include natural plant product based green synthesis of nanoparticles, nanotoxicity testing of nanoparticles and application of nanoparticles in drug delivery, food technology, sensing, dye degradation and catalysis. He has published many articles in these areas featuring in peer-reviewed reputed journals. He is also serving as editorial board member and reviewer for international peer reviewed journals. He has received various awards like senior research fellowship, best poster award and postdoctoral fellowship etc. He has published two books for CRC, Taylor & Francis Group and one book each for Elsevier and Springer.
Dr. Mohammadreza Khalesi is a pioneer in Bioscience engineering and Nanotechnology in food applications. His current research interests include protein based materials with a number of novel publications and patent. He is currently Marie Skłodowska-Curie Career-FIT Fellow at the University of Limerick, Ireland and Faculty member in Shiraz University, Iran. He was associate researcher at Imperial College London,UK and at the University of Tehran, Iran. He graduated his PhD in KULeuven (Belgium). He received a number of national and international grants for research and scientific visiting from Gembloux,Belgium, and from the University of Manchester (UK), etc.
Abdul Faheem Khan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is a chartered Engineer who has research interests in thin films/coatings for various applications including solar cell, smart windows for energy, electromagnetic interference shielding, etc. His research articles have appeared in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Applied Surface Science, Thin Solid Films, etc.
Wendong Liu received B.S. degree in 2012 from Jilin University. He did PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Bai Yang from Jilin University, and defended his PhD thesis in June 2017. Then he went to Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer research in Mainz as a postdoc under the supervision of Prof. Hans-Jürgen Butt and Dr. Michael Kappl. His research interests are related to patterned surfaces; cell adhesion; suprawetting and anisotropic wetting surfaces; supraparticles. He has published 31 research articles, 2 reviews, and 2 chapters.
Prof. Yuchao Li is a director of Nanophotonics for Manipulation laboratory at the Institute of Nanophotonics, Jinan University, Guangzhou, China. His research interests lie at nanophotonics and biophotonics. Prof. Li has published over 15 academic papers in SCI-indexed journals such as ACS Nano, Light: Sci. Appl., Adv. Funct. Mater., Small, and has applied for 10 national invention patents. Prof. Li has served as an organizing committee member and has made invited reports at important academic conferences for several times, and he is currently an editorial board member of Journal of Biomaterials. Prof. Li was awarded with the 2018 Guangdong Provincial First Prize of Science and Technology (5/6). He is also serving as referee for physics and optics journals: Light: Science & Applications, Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics et al.

His research interests include synthesis and study of nanoparticle, thin films and bulk materials and evolution of materials under ion irradiation. Professor Mondal is an Assistant Professor at the Amity University, Kolkata, India. He completed Ph.D. from Visva-Bharati University), Santiniketan, India and postdoctoral research work from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. During his posdoctoral period received the Claude Leon Fellowship. The main focus of his research is on computational fluid dynamics and study of heat & mass transfer of nanofluid flow. Presently, he has published 56 research articles, 03 book chapter and one book in reputed journals and publication houses.
Dr. Bilal Ahmad Mir is an Assistant Professor & Coordinator at the Department of Botany University of Kashmir. He obtained PhD in Botany CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, J&K INDIA & Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, INDIA. He has been awarded INSA Visiting Scientist Fellowship for the year 2017-2018, Early Career Research Award by SERB, DST, GOI, New Delhi. He received the Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship, University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, INDIA and Invited as young PI for YIM 2018 held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (5-8 March 2018). He is an editorial board member of different journals such as Applied Biology and Biotechnology, Biologically Active Products from Nature Taylor and Francis Group, Advances in Bio-medicine and Pharmacy and Journal of Herbal Medicine, Beijing.
Dr. Amr Ahmed Mahmoud Nada completed his Doctoral Program in 2015 in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry from the Faculty of Science of Ain Shams University (ASU), Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Nada is currently completing his Post-Doctoral from the Institute Européen des Membranes (IEM), Montpellier, France. His skills and expertise mainly lie in the subject areas/fields of Nanomaterials, Wastewater Treatment, Nanomaterials Synthesis, Water Treatment, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Nanotechnology, Catalyst Characterization, Catalyst Synthesis, Catalysis, Environmental Chemistry, etc. Dr. Nada, as an author/co-author, has published a number of articles in various journals, and has attended numerous conferences.
Dr. Adrian Plesca graduated from the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi in 1995, M.Sc. in 1996 and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering in 2001. Currently, he is a professor and PhD supervisor in the Power Engineering Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Energetics and Applied Informatics. His research interest includes power electrical equipment, power semiconductor devices protection, switching techniques and 3D modeling and simulation of the electrical equipment. Prof. Plesca is author or co-author of 9 books, over 140 papers in the area of electrical apparatus and modeling and simulation of electrical devices.
Prof Raju is the alumnus of S. V. University, Tirupati. He did B. Sc., M. Sc., M. Phil., from the same university and also received Ph. D. degree from the same university under the supervision of Prof. S. V. K. Varma garu. He worked with MITS, Madanapalle from March 1999 to August 2002 as a Lecturer in Mathematics and with Annamacharya Inst. Tech. and Sci. Rajampet (Autonomous) from September 2002 to December 2018 at various capacities such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Head of the department of Humanities and Sciences, Coordinator Research and Development Cell etc. He joined Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur, College of Engineering Pulivendula since January 2019.
Dr. Hassan obtained PhD. from Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University in 2011. He has been working in the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City) from 2004 as assistant researcher. Now he is working as associate professor in (SRTA-City) and visiting professor in Jouf University, KSA. His work is focusing on nanotechnology and its applications. Dr. Hassan has more than 44 international ranked publications. He gained many scientific prizes national or international on his scientific achievements. He also has two patents from Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (Egypt). Besides, he is a member in a number of scientific projects.
Dr. Shengyuan Yang obtained his bachelor degree from Fudan University in 2008. He then pursued his doctorate degree directly in the National University of Singapore by taking up the prestigious NGS Scholarship. He received his PhD in 2013 before he finally returned home and joined the College of Materials Sciences and Engineering, Donghua University in late 2014 as an associate professor while his research is centered in novel applications of electrospun nanomaterials like wearable electronics and smart clothes. He has published more than 10 papers including covers in Energy Environ. Sci.、J. Mater. Chem. A、ACS Appl. Energy Mater.、J. Power Sources etc. as the corresponding authors and currently participated in several national key R&D projects. He is also the Vice Director of DHU International Cooperation Office.
Dr. Jesty Thomas is working as faculty in the Research Department of Chemistry, Kuriakose Elias College, Mannanam, India. She completed her Ph.D from NIIST (CSIR), Kerala, India and her postdoctoral research was at Chungnam National University, S.Korea. She was selected as “Young Scientist” by Department of Science and Technology, India. She is serving as the editorial board member of the international journal, “Materials Physics and Chemistry” and received recognized reviewer status by Elsevier Publications. She received nine best research paper awards and also received “Outstanding Woman in Science” award in the year 2018.
Dr. Manikant Tripathi is working as Assistant Professor (Guest) in the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University since 2015. He worked as Assistant Professor in Jhunjhunwala PG College, Faizabad from 2013 to 2015. He completed BSc, MSc and PhD, MSc in Microbiology and is NET qualified. Dr. Hafeez Ullah Janjua is an assistant professor in the Department of Physics of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He has completed his PhD from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Islamabad. His areas of research include Biophotonics, Optical coherence tomography. He has published six (6) books/book chapter with national and international publishers like Springer. He has published more than forty-three papers in peer reviewed journals. He has been honored by research productivity award (RPA) and productive scientist of Pakistan (PSP) by Pakistan council for science and technology (PCST).
Dr. Khushwant Yadav has an experience of more than 15 years in both Industry and Academics. He has been a Research Scientist in Claris Lifesciences, Ahmedabad and Alembic Ltd., Vadodara. He has done collaborative research with National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), ICMR Lab, Mumbai; Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), DRDO Lab, Delhi. Dr. Yadav has completed projects with AICTE-RPS and is currently doing collaborative project with industries like ACG worldwide/Scitech. His publications have been listed in 25 Hottest Articles by Elsevier, Most-Read Article by Parenteral Drug Association, USA, Most Viewed Article (Top 10) by AAPS, USA. He is recipient of Fellow of Institute of Chemists (India). Currently he is working at SVKM’s NMIMS as associate professor.
Dr. Mohamed Samir Abdel Aziz received his MSc (2010) and PhD (2014) in polymer science and polymer nanocomposites from Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. He has an outstanding experience in polymer science covering synthesis, nanocomposites and characterization. He works currently as an associate professor in Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. He is a reviewer for many journals published by Elsevier, Springer and Bentham. He has many publications in many reputable international journals, and he supervised many MSc and PhD theses. His current research interests involve the preparation of edible films containing different active nanoparticles for food packaging.
Dr. S. Harikrishnan received his B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Madras, in 2002; M.E. in 2007 and Ph.D in 2015 in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University. He is the Professor & Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adhi College of Engineering & Technology, Chennai, India. He is an active researcher in the fields of phase change materials, nanofluids and supercapacitor.
