Abstract
Synthesis of varied N-heterocycles and C–N bond forming reactions catalyzed by novel proficient heterogeneous Cu–based solid catalysts namely, CuI-zeolites, CuII-HT, and CuII-PMOs are addressed in this review article. The above-mentioned catalysts have been proved to be remarkable heterogeneous catalysts for many organic transformations mostly, one-pot MCRs including synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and 2H-indazoles over heterocyclization of C-N and N-N bond formations and range of C-N bond forming reactions. These novel synthetic methods offered many advantages including shorter reaction times, simple reaction procedures, catalyst recyclability, good to moderate yields, and broader substrate scope. All the aspects related to these approaches are addressed in this comprehensive review.

Carbohydrates conversion in biofuels and bioproducts
Biomass pretreatment, hydrolysis, and saccharification of carbohydrates, and sugars bioconversion in biofuels and bioproducts within a biorefinery framework. Carbohydrates derived from woody biomass, agricultural wastes, algae, sewage sludge, or any other lignocellulosic feedstock are included in this issue. Simulation, techno-economic analysis, and life cycle analysis of a biorefinery process are ...read more
Catalytic C-H bond activation as a tool for functionalization of heterocycles
The major topic is the functionalization of heterocycles through catalyzed C-H bond activation. The strategies based on C-H activation not only provide straightforward formation of C-C or C-X bonds but, more importantly, allow for the avoidance of pre-functionalization of one or two of the cross-coupling partners. The beneficial impact of ...read more
