Abstract
C7-substituted steroids, especially C7-substituted estradiol derivatives, have been the subject of intensive interdisciplinary studies encompassing the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and medicine. While showing the more pertinent structures with their physiological characteristics, this review will focus on the synthetic approaches to these molecules.
