Abstract

In this chapter we present the advantages and disadvantages of the blind serially adaptive equalizer compared with the non-blind adaptive version as well as with the blind but non adaptive approach.

Keywords:

Blind adaptive equalizer, non-blind adaptive equalizer, non adaptive blind equal- izer, training sequences, nonlinear transformation, convergence speed, computa- tional cost, higher order statistics (HOS), stochastic gradient method, LMS (least mean squares) algorithm
