Drug Design Should Involve Consideration of Environmental Risk and Hazard

Author(s): B. Gunnarsson, A. Wennmalm.

Environmental data on human drugs are often missing, or reveal unfavourable environmental properties. The pharmaceutical producers should highlight environmental precaution when designing new drugs.
