Aim: Objective behind this present work is development and characterization of Silver Nanoparticles from Dalbergia Sissoo Leaf Extracts and analysis of anticancer activity.

Method and Result: Silver nanoparticles were prepared using the aqueous solution of Dalbergia sisoo leaf extract and silver nitrate. A fixed ratio of plant extract to metal ion was prepared and the color change was observed which proved the formation of nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were characterized for TEM, FTIR, DLS, XRD and SEM. Silver nanoparticles were also evaluated for anticancer activity.

Conclusion: Synthesized silver nanoparticles were having good anticancer activity against MCF 7 cancer cell line as compared to the standard drug Doxorubicin .The particle size of nanoparticles was found to lie in the range of 10 to 50 nm.
