Silica-coated Magnetic Nanoparticles Functionalized with Piperidinium benzene-1,3- disulfonate: An Efficient Nanocatalyst in the Synthesis of Chromene Derivatives

Abstract:

The surface of the silica-coated Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticle (MNPs) coated was modified with piperidinium benzene-1,3-disulfonate salt (PBDS-SCMNPs). Then, it was characterized using different techniques and subsequently, its catalytic activity was tested in the one-pot three-component synthesis of chromene derivatives under optimal conditions. The catalyst acted efficiently and gave the products in high yields under green and sustainable conditions.
