Digital humanities is broadly characterized as humanities research
associated with data-driven activities. Computational technologies are adopted to
explore new methods and tools supplementing established research routines in
humanities. However, humanities researchers expressed concerns that the enthusiasm
to promote and accelerate the application of technology in humanities teaching and
research might overlook the significance of humanities itself. This article points out the
advantages of technologies in respond to humanities concerns.
