Abstract
Background: A simple and efficient one-pot green synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives and biphenyl derivatives has been reported. The overall conversion was assisted by ultrasound irradiation at ambient temperature (25-30 °C) in aqueous medium.
Methods: All the products were synthesized in good toexcellent yields. Conclusion: This study extends the applicability of the synthetic routes prompted by ultrasound irradiation under eco-friendly condition. Keywords: Ultrasound irradiation, 1, 4-dihydropyridine derivatives, bi-phenyl derivatives, aqueous reaction medium, catalystfree reaction condition, green approach.
