Abstract
Introduction of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has resulted in a paradigm shift in the treatment of patients with high risk or inoperable severe aortic stenosis. This article aims to comprehensively review the mechanisms of neurological injury per se, the read-outs of cerebrovascular events, and strategies currently used to predict and prevent stroke in transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
