Synthesis of Green Adsorbents
Pp. 55-68 (14)
George Z. Kyzas
An extensive study on the use of different materials as green adsorbents for
eliminating environmental pollutants from wastewaters is provided in this chapter. This
chapter focuses on two topics i.e. synthesis of activated carbon from cost effective
agricultural sources, which are environment friendly and use of agricultural
wastes/residues, by-products, natural sources etc. for the production of green
adsorbents. This classification helps study the synthesis of green adsorbents in detail.
