Abstract:

A facile and efficient synthesis of spiro[indoline-3,5'-pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine] derivatives by one-pot reactions of isatins, 2,6-diaminopyrimidin-4-one or 6-aminopyrimidine-2,4-dione and malononitrile under microwave irradiation conditions was investigated. This protocol has the virtue of short reaction time, high yields and easy work-up procedure.
