Glycochips can be used to map the carbohydrate-protein interactions in high-throughput
manner. Carbohydrates are immobilized on the support surface by covalent or noncovalent binding.
The immobilization strategies for glycochips were summarized herein. In addition, some recently developed
techniques for detection of carbohydrate-protein interactions were also involved.
Keywords: Carbohydrate-protein interactions, covalent or noncovalent immobilization, detection, glycochips.
