What is DRM?
DRM or Digital Rights Management is a class of access control technologies that are used by the manufacturers or publishersintent to limit the use of digital content and devices after sale.
What are e-Prints:
e-Print is a DRM implemented file. Only Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) would support the ePrint encrypted file. Once the file downloaded in ADE, it will be stored in the ADE Library and it’ll be available for reading at any time.
The file is encrypted with recent Bentham’s e-Prints policy with following rules:
- Limited printing
- Reading is allowed on a single device.
- Limited Copying of content.
How to Download Adobe Digital Editions

After clicking “Run”, a window will appear asking your permission to install this software. Click “Yes” to begin.
Read and Accept the “Terms & Conditions”. Click “Next”. Then “Install”. The installation will be finished in few minutes.
Procedure to Open DRM File
After successful installation, open the DRM protected (.acsm) file. The ADE would have asked you to authorize your computer. If you have the Adobe ID authorize your computer or you may create new one. You may also proceed by clicking on the link “Authorize this computer without an ID”
After successful authorization, ADE will show the fulfillment window to open the file as:
After fulfillment, the file is being stored in the ADE library.

System will show you permissions being set by the publisher on the reading, copying and printing. For other options please see “Help” menu.
